Attention to those choosing to "stay and fight" within the Democratic Party

Our first major battle looms near.  The battle for control of the DNC.  The neo-libs are already stacking the deck.

We need to take actions to fight for control of the DNC.

Does anyone hear know how we can influence the vote for Chair?  I have researched but not having much luck.  The state DNC representatives aren’t very responsive.

Update:  Please ask for a roster of DNC members here: [email protected]  and proceed to contact as many as you can.

aka rhett o rick.      If I speak out against either Hillary or Trump, it doesn't mean I favor the other.  That should go without saying.

    1. fwiw, I've gotten petitions and "appeals" on the matter

from Bernie, Keith,Our Revolution, and others that don’t come to mind right now.

    2. ThomPaine as I have said I think it is hopeless.

But I have bookmarked this article to check back and see if you find anything that will help. I am happy to try anything that might work to get OUR party back on the right track.

    Good luck my friend.

      3. Agreed i.e. hopeless

May as well call them the Party of Sisyphus, especially as in the Sisyphean myth he was forced to roll that boulder up the hill because he was conceited and a liar.

We can start calling them the Sisy party…especially after they totally soft-balled Sessions yesterday.  Fuck them.

        5. I simply could not watch. It made me so sad.

Sessions was smug. Yuck. I suspect we lost again.

          6. Couldn't watch either

Nor was I inclined to watch Obama’s string of platitudes yesterday. But I did read about both of them and they made me equally queasy but for different reasons.

    7. I'm not so sure of taking over the Party at this time.

Admittedly they are weak right now but they’re still totally out of touch with reality.

What we really need to do is begin getting ready to take over the next nomination for president. And I mean fucking take it over. We need the party to win the general so we have to win its nomination. Once we have that, we take over the party and the DNC.

We have four years to get our shit together.

      8. Exactly. We need to control the DNC if we hope for a fair nomination process.

        11. Who cares about fair?

We now have their playbook in the Podesta and DNC leaked emails.

We need numbers. They can’t beat the numbers no matter how hard they cheat. And what’s even better, they know it.

    10. I prefer to watch the Democratic Party die a slow and agonizing death and

when they’re on life support, we’ll pull the plug and watch what’s left of them take their last breath!  Only then will it be safe to call ourselves Democrats again and rebuild the party.

In 2 years we can remove as much of the dead wood from the party as possible and with any luck kill the Blue/Yellow dog phonies off in 2020.

      12. I prefer action. The longer it takes the more people literally will die do to

      lack of health care, etc.

    13. Simple, just show up at your local Democratic Party meeting in numbers.

By the way, I’m surprised your state has a DNC (Democratic NATIONAL Committee).

      15. Working on that. Our local Legislative Dist State Rep that we just elected

was an upset.  A young progressives barely edged out an old time Establishment supporter.  The county meeting is this coming Sat. where we hope to do it again.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.  The state does not have a DNC but does elect representatives.  I edited my OP to correct that. Thanks for pointing it out.

    14. we elect members to a local (parish) committee and a state committee

which do have more members (many councilpersons, state reps, and faction leaders etc) than you might think.

i don’t know if they elect the national committee or if that is appointed by party honchos.
