Okay, I've been here since March.

And I have  no idea what to do to click on help for “spelling” when I am on JPR.

I can see that the ABC icons, that often stand for spelling, don’t stand for spelling here.

I feel like an idiot for asking, but what do I do to enable a spell check?

    1. Strangely, I have this feature automatically…

Is it the browser or operating system that sets this? All I know is Safari on my Mac shows me (annoyingly) the errors of my spelling.

      2. In your case, it's Safari.

AFAIK, all of the major browsers now include a spell check feature

      3. Yep, I do believe that's a browser function

I know it’s in Firefox and all the various manifestations of the Chromium browsers (Opera, Google Chrome, Comodo Dragon, etc.)

There might be some brands of forum software with built in spell check, but I don’t remember seeing it here.

    4. It’s usually the browser…

    What browser are you using?

      5. Thanks for asking Deadpool.

It is Firefox Mozilla. Sometimes I use Windows XP, sometimes Windows 8.

(I tried to have Deadpool, Whazilla, but the system would not let me. Wassup with that?)

        6. Since you’re using Firefox…

In this case, make sure “check my spelling as I type” is checked.

    7. Using Chrome, if I right click on

the misspelled word, it gives me the right spelling at the top of the dialogue box

      8. Thanks. That's what I am looking for –

the spelling correction when I have misspelled a word and don’t know its correct spelling. But I hate the idea of using Chrome.

        9. I'm pretty sure Firefox does the same thing. nt
