    1. snip*

Trump noted to The Times that Democrats had numerous senators up for reelection in 2018 in states carried by the president-elect in November. Trump said he would “be out there campaigning” in those states and those Democrats should therefore assist with the new healthcare bill. ( end )

Let him try that while dumping ACA and offering nothing of substance in its place…go ahead, Trump. Costs are going to decrease under a Trump plan? I can’t wait to see it.

Doctors group calls on Trump to rescind nominations of Price, Verma to key health care posts

    snip*

Price, Trump’s pick to head the Department of Health and Human Services, has proposed replacing the Affordable Care Act with a plan that would:

    * Slash Medicaid funding and transfer much of the ACA’s health insurance subsidies from low-income to wealthier Americans, effectively depriving millions of coverage, and cause thousands of deaths each year.

    * Allow the big insurers to sell bare-boned policies that have no minimum benefits, and allow them to drop people with pre-existing conditions from their rolls if the latter were to even briefly miss a premium payment.

    * Turn Medicare into a voucher scheme that would undermine coverage and ship hundreds of billions of taxpayers’ dollars to private insurers.

    3. He has no idea how things work and now that he's put the gun to the

collective heads of the Republicans they have to either comply or not. Either way, they lose. They had nothing to replace it. The only talk I’ve heard around here and all of them were Republican voters was fear over the ACA getting slagged. how do you like him now? (I am not asking voters, but the fatheads that made him possible, the republican establishment). This is going to be the day the Republican party died, when that is done.

    6. This is good news.

It was reported earlier that he wasn’t going to support the republican plan to “repeal and replace later”.

Now he’s confirmed it – he’s demanding the ludicrous and impossible simply to provide air cover.

Steve Martin had a stand-up sketch along these lines back in the day.

    9. WTO laws will turn healthcare upside down.

The GOP claim they want to deregulate, but their so called “deregulation” will trigger the most difficult to navigate mess imaginable.

    10. My first reaction was an incredulous laugh

I mean, wtf? The Rethugs haven’t come up with an alternate plan in 6 years. No way will they be able to dismantle the entire ACA architecture in a week, and sub in something else.

Then I realized, they don’t give a shit about what’s subbed in. Do not give a shit.

We are so fucked. This family specifically but definitely Americans  in general.

    :(

    If not now, when?
