    never answer the door to anyone wearing a suit with shiny shoes.  hide in the closet instead until he goes away.

    1. I heard that advice first when I lived in rural Kentucky.

    Actually, in the sixties I was warned not to trust anyone with new sneakers. That meant they were the fuzz and were spying on your sorry ass.
