Homepage | Forums | Main Forums | General Discussion | Donald Trump is a man of peace – his enemies are a war machine | He occasionally does make a good move though it is the exception not the rule. His method (unilateralism)
is his weakness. He believes in two kinds of unilateralism – American exceptionalism (we can go it alone and do whatever we want in our ‘national interest’) – and ‘Trump unilateralism” (Trump can decide by himself what America will do (without consultation from within the country or from allies internationally) just go with his ‘gut’.
The ‘Great Disrupter’ achieves the disruption he is after – occasionally in a peaceful, progressive direction, more often in a bellicose, conservative direction. I celebrate his occasional peaceful progressive moves but understand the danger of Trump unilateralism for the country and the world.
This president’s erratic and impulsive behavior is a danger to our country and a major impediment in terms of addressing the crises we face. His decision to shut down the government is just the latest example of this destructive pattern. pic.twitter.com/02kkmG3cHU

It's not just the Saudi-led war in Yemen or the brutal and cold-blooded murder of Jamal Khashoggi. It's the entire structure of the despotic Saudi regime.
The time is long overdue for the U.S. to rethink its relationship with Saudi Arabia.https://t.co/RDlCW7xr4W

When you think you have no choice but to start a war, think again. Wars promise to be quick, clean and decisive. Wars lie. They cause more problems than they solve, they just won't tell you that beforehand.
"If we are to have peace on earth, ... our loyalties must transcend our race, our tribe, our class, and our nation; and this means we must develop a world perspective."
