The excuses offered are the usual things. “He’s as progressive as he dares to be.” “Who says you get to determine who and what are progressive?” “This is just a pathetic Bernie Bro attempt to fend off a challenge from a rising star.” And so on. Many people don’t care what he supports, as long as he has a “D” behind his name.
