They get huge quakes and Tsunamis every 300 years or so from the Cascade subduction zone. And the last one was in 1700. One can see it in the sediment records along the coast and in Puget Sound.

No one can predict when it will slip next, but it is going to bring a world of hurt on that area when it does.
