Why oh why do I suddenly need to jack my whole computer around & turn it inside out

just to function on a website.  Clearing browser history scares the crap out of me.  I did this once at the insistence during Mary’s last days, on JPR 2, and I still have not recovered fully from the seemingly endless repercussions of that move; and now I’m being told to do the exact same thing (which did NOT help me the first time BTW).

I am thinking of just getting lost for a month or two to see if you guys get this sorted out so JPR is genuinely accessible in a normal kind of way, you know like other sites such as Reddit or (gasp! dare I say it) sv.   Not that I’m going there but geeez … this transition from 2.0 to 3.0 is majorly disorienting for me and there seems to be no end to it.

ON EDIT: Needless to say, I DO totally appreciate what the new overlords are doing i.e. the investment of time, energy & moola .. I guess this is just a rant to help cope with my profound disappointment with how the site has become nearly useless to me, because I love being at JPR soooo much.
