Alteon Health, backed by private-equity firms Frazier Healthcare Partners and New Mountain Capital, will cut salaries, time off and retirement benefits for providers, citing lost revenue. Several hospital operators announced similar cuts.
Emergency room doctors and nurses many of whom are dealing with an onslaught of coronavirus patients and shortages of protective equipment — are now finding out that their compensation is getting cut.
Most ER providers in the U.S. work for staffing companies that have contracts with hospitals. Those staffing companies are losing revenue as hospitals postpone elective procedures and non-coronavirus patients avoid emergency rooms. Health insurers are processing claims more slowly as they adapt to a remote workforce.
“Despite the risks our providers are facing, and the great work being done by our teams, the economic challenges brought forth by COVID-19 have not spared our industry,” Steve Holtzclaw, the CEO of Alteon Health, one of the largest staffing companies, wrote in a memo to employees on Monday.

…but we can’t have universal single payer health care because that would be socialist communist Medicare for all Bernie’s plan. So this is what happens when profit from elective surgeries are cut back? I suppose if we have WW3 that companies will have to cut back on pay too because there isn’t enough profit? Yeah …this shit is fucked up! Tell me again just who is getting that 2 trillion bail out right now? What is vital to us right now? Is anyone properly prioritizing where the need is? I hope everyone is happy with their socialist $1200 which won’t save anyone’s ass. Instead we get Mr Rogers Pence on tv tucking the people into bed with a cup of milk.

Can anyone find details on the yearly profit of Alteon Health and Frazier Healthcare? I wonder, also, if they are getting bailout money from any of the stimulus packages…

My conclusion: it’s concentration near-monopoly finance capital jacking up prices because they’re KILLERS & they can.
Frazier Healthcare Partners owns Alteon, & a lot more in the Healthcare Field:

“The cost of health care will be going up in Maryland after hospitals have been given permission to temporarily raise rates all patents are charged to help pay for emergency care related to COVID-19.
Hospitals have not been getting the revenue that’s normally generated from patients who have other hospital care because of the coronavirus pandemic, The Baltimore Sun reported.”

about the nice daydreams everyone is having about what they are going to do once the social-distancing orders are relaxed. I expect they will instead be in for a rude awakening as the streets of every city are filled with mass protests of the system.
Also, while I know everyone wants to use guillotines, and they do make for nice tools with which to scare the elites, I say we use trebuchet catapults to launch them at their places of worship, such as Wall Street, the Pentagon, the Capital, the White House, and so on.
