TONGANOXIE, Kan. (AP) — The American Civil Liberties of Kansas has asked for a state investigation after a black man was detained by local police while moving into his own home.

The ACLU said Thursday that Karle Robinson was held at gunpoint and handcuffed as he moved into a home he had purchased in Tonganoxie, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) west of Kansas City.

Robinson says police harassed him and that Tonganoxie’s police chief stopped him from filing a racial bias complaint.

Police Chief Greg Lawson says he had not seen the ACLU’s allegations and would comment later.

How pathetic. Wonder if the cops were white supremacist types. I know one thing they are for sure—assholes.

None of us should stand for the national anthem.

I would like to remind you that U.S. health insurance companies do not contribute anything to health care. They are only a PARASITIC middle man receiving an undeserved cut of "FREE MONEY".

I definitely do not put my hand over my heart as some brainwashed idiots.  One day I will pick up the courage to sit.

“With Liberty and Justice for all.”  I find it really difficult to say those words.  I think the Pledge should be rewritten.

The new homeowner was harassed by low-level cops.  Probably because neighbors saw someone they didn’t know entering the unoccupied house.  Maybe that’s excusable as long as nobody got hurt.  Perhaps some racial sensitivity training sessions are in order.  “Gunpoint” seems excessive.

But at the next level up, the sheriff quashed the investigation.  That is not excusable.  And if the town government won’t act, it’s the governor’s job to call for his resignation. The ACLU has now brought it to that level.  They’re doing it right.

No, random harassment of people of color by “low-level cops” is NOT excusable and its shameful that anyone would try to excuse it. How many times in your life have you moved? Were you prepared to be handcuffed at gunpoint and interrogated each time? I don’t think so. No more double standards.

I said “maybe”.  I even put it in bold.  There are details we don’t know.  That’s why there must be an investigation. We have a national problem in this area, and there are a lot of cops who could genuinely benefit from training. The best time to catch racism in the force is after an incident like this, where a citizen was demonstrably wronged but not killed or injured.

Some people would like to send these cops to prison.  Assuming they’re white, they would be recruited into the Aryan Brotherhood and continue to hate.

Personally, I have been held at gunpoint by police the same number of times as I have purchased a home, one.  But it wasn’t the same day or jurisdiction.

Holding the guy at gunpoint sure seems excessive to me.

      Enough, 4 FUCK’s SAKE!

THEN, the fucking bureaucracy tries to block a complaint of racial profiling. I’ve said this before… If you CLEAN UP the police, you begin to build safe communities. It’s the reason I was pushed out as a local official where I AM, and it’s the reason that we get nowhere where we ARE.

It’s worse, because too many recruits are status PTSD from the senseless wars, pushed top of the list when they hire police now. Many of them say that they shave their heads to avoid the perps from grabbing it when dealing with potential violence, but I’ve come to think that it’s a way to homogenize the sick culture of hate. When it comes from the top, they ALL think they can do it with great protection.

Hell, no... I'm not giving up...
