How about another home for AOC? Send her back to NY.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez defends decision not to pay House Democratic campaign ‘dues’

House GOP May Hit Vulnerable Democrats For Receiving AOC Donations

Ocasio-Cortez, who is often flush with cash and enjoys a safely Democratic New York City district, wired $5,000 donations to a number of her more vulnerable colleagues ahead of what will likely be a difficult campaign season, according to Politico.

But the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, House Democrats’ campaign arm, reportedly gave Ocasio-Cortez those campaigns’ banking information without their knowledge, and at least three tried to return them out of fear of being tied to Ocasio-Cortez even as others took them.

The National Republican Campaign Committee on Monday said in a press release those Democrats are “rightly” concerned they will “use the donations in attack ads,” calling the donations “an unwelcome surprise” for those campaigns.

“Sean Patrick Maloney’s DCCC is doing everything it can to make life miserable for vulnerable House Democrats,” Mike Berg, the NRCC’s deputy communications director, said in a statement.

I have Greg Stanton as my Rep and Mark Kelly & Sinema as my Senators. I will vote for Kelly in 2022 for the simple fact he is not acting like Sinema. I will support a primary challenge for Sinema in 2024. If AOC wants to carpetbag in Arizona I will vote her. I have seen her get attacked from multiple different directions over this.

since I am not in her district.  Also, using the “But BERNIE” meme does not work here, never did, this is no longer a site that works like a cult site, like, say, SV.   It is my understanding that this site is not really a Democratic Party (or GOP) site, either, so there is no compelling  reason to donate on party affiliation grounds.  Neither Bernie nor AOC could convince me to vote for any of the Blue Dogs that the DNC backs down here in Florida, much less send them money.

I support most of the policies she supports but it doesn’t matter since Manchin & Sinema will block everything.

I have seen her attacked multiple different ways. SV attacked her from the right over this non-issue.

Like I said I don’t donate that much to AOC since she is in a safe blue district and she doesn’t need the money so she can donate directly without paying her dues to the DCCC. I doubt anyone upset donated to her after January 3rd anyway.

I have bigger issues to worry about than scapegoating AOC.

I see in your reply to Djean that you say this business of allegedly progressive politicians giving away donations made specifically to their campaigns to right wing politicians no progressive can vote for without hypocrisy or stupidity is a non-issue. So why bring it up?

For me it is an issue. I donated to Bernie in both 2016 and 2020. The thought that the money I sent him might have gone to people like Klobuchar and Casey turns my stomach. If Bernie hadn’t already been on my shit list for being a cuck to the Democrats he would be now, thanks to your reply. I see this sort of thing as one more betrayal to progressives.

One more reason to never trust a Democrat. Any Democrat. Since I’ve felt that way about Republicans for most of my life, it’s not that hard for me to do. Then again, I don’t see politics as a team sport or a reality TV show.
