It seems that their candidate, in addition to his other issues, is likely to pick an older (not elderly, but older) rich white lady as his VP.  Now that may or may not help him in her state specifically – but what does Biden have other than not being Trump?  A possible supreme court nominee, so I am told.

Now this assumes that he will nominate someone left of center – and that he wont fail, as Obama did, to get a nomination through.  So we have a “maybe” and a “maybe not as bad as”.

All the while, the dems are engaging with Republicans in the largest transfer of wealth – to the wealthy – possibly ever.  There is talk of a public option – but Obama talked a lot too.  That’s all it was – talk.

The right will not support Biden, nor will many younger voters, particularly millenials.  He does not have the support of most progressives, either.

There doesnt seem to be much of a campaign strategy, or anything else.

What reason could I have for voting for Biden?  That possibly he will do less harm than Trump?  That is setting the bar very, very low.  Even as I continue to be disgusted and occasionally even surprised by how genuinely rotten Trump is….

As far as I can tell, there is no real opposition.  That was Sanders, who is now all in for Biden.  The greens have almost no chance of winning – and I havent heard of any others gearing up.

I might just sit this one out – or at least leave the president part of my ballot blank.  Maybe I’ll write in Darth Vader, or “The Antichrist”, or “Fuck you!”  Havent quite decided yet…

That’s what their donors pay them to do.  Appear to offer a political alternative; appear to be an opposition party; appear to offer hope.  In the off chance that they win, that’s when the “change” part comes in — they change their tune to “everything’s just fine, don’t get excited”.

Obama, at least tried to pretend he was a liberal in order to get elected. I guess he felt he needed to go the extra mile because he is black. But since then, it’s “Fuck you progressives, we own the party and you get Nothing!”  Full Speed ahead, neocons!

2020 is just like 2016, with even more Fuck you progressives thrown in.

Biden is rotten to the core, and I believe the greater evil of the two.  I think I will vote for the socialist or green party if they get on the ballot.  If not, I will have to leave it blank so that my votes for any somewhat progressive down-ballot candidate counts.

The co-opted establishment Dems chose Biden to lose. Anyone else with half a brain would easily beat the crap out of Trump even in a rigged election. But the filthy rich love them some Trump butt.

So, we liberals got another mentally incapacitated, sexually abusive, old white guy. And to ensure he loses, the Dems political platform is scrubbed clean of most liberal values and made acceptable to RepubliCONS who don’t like Trump.

Biden is running for the leftover RepubliCON votes not for the enthusiastic liberal vote. And there aren’t enough leftover RepubliCON voters to beat Trump no matter what Friedman thinks.

Their #1 goal was to prevent Bernie types from taking over the party and winning the White House. That’s done. Now, beating Trump would be a bonus for them, but their own wealth and power is secured, so they don’t really care that much.

All Biden has to do is pick DWS for his VP, and it’s game over, Dems lose in a landslide.

It all comes down to the same states it came down to last time. If Biden pulls a Hillary and fails to show up in Wisconsin and Michigan, it’s game over. We’ll know losing was the plan all along. But, really, even if he pulls it off, what does it matter? The 1%ers are safe with either of the shit sandwiches. He’s already told them he won’t change their lifestyle or negatively impact their accounts. My husband is a blue no matter who-er who hates Trump. I asked him what Obama ever did for the ordinary person and what he would expect from Biden. He gave a vague answer about keeping the country from the brink, whatever that means. The expectations are so low as to be laughable when people chose one turd over the other because it supposedly stinks a little less.

I will write in Ralph Nader, not because I think he will win, but because it is a poke in the eye of the corporate Dems.

Feel free to Write-In.  That’s exactly what I’m doing, unless the Greens coalesce with someone I can respect.

Honestly, I’ve already said I give up for 8 years way back in 2016, predicting that the Democrats won’t learn anything.  I fear that I am being proven correct and worse, that my most dire predictions have not gone far enough.

That way they don’t actually have to govern. They can pretend to oppose and then vote for whatever Wall Street wants when nobody’s looking.

Their primary goal was getting Sanders out of the way. In order to do that they coalesced around a ridiculous old fool suffering from dementia, and now they’re stuck with him, scrambling to put something together at the last minute.

So they’re reduced to hiding their candidate in his basement, and having his handlers slip uppers into his ice cream cones so there’s at least a chance at him making it through his media appearances without falling asleep.

And then there’s the realization that a conscious Biden is an even bigger threat to himself and, by extension, the country.

And I don’t think the age, gender or skin color of his vp choice will matter much at all in the general. Their problem is they really don’t have anybody worth a damn. Beto, Harris, Avenatti, Abrams, Warren, Buttigieg… Animal, vegetable or mineral, they get nowhere with any of these people.

As much as I do the Republicans at this point.  Bunch of cowardly, greedy little puppets, sycophants to the extreme.  It took FDR to get us out if the great depression… his like are not in politics anymore.  Once I would have said “with the exception of Bernie”.  Not anymore – FDR would never have folded like that.

It is clear now, that we have to get rid of these schmucks and their parties… the question is how.

..because they pretend to be on the side of the workers when they aren’t.

Nothing short of torches and pitchforks will upend this rotten system now,and it won’t happen in our time.It will happen when the full effect of climate change kicks in.
