This week, we have seen two wildly different scenarios play out. On the one hand, the testimony from Robert Mueller, long awaited by the likes of Rachel Maddow and the other Vichy Democrat cheerleaders on places like SV, accomplished almost nothing. On the other, hundreds of thousands of American citizens in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico forced their corrupt governor to resign.

I’ll start with Mueller the Reluctant. This known liar, who one assured us of the validity of the intelligence agencies’ claims that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, probably lied to us again about Russian efforts to interfere in our elections. I say “probably” because I don’t know for sure, but he presented absolutely zero hard evidence for his claims. This is no surprise, for he never has. Not once. He only tells us what the intelligence agencies say, and their word ain’t worth a bucket of warm shit.

At least shit can be used for fertilizer.

He even admitted as much under intense Republican questioning. Where did all of this Russiagate nonsense come from, anyway? We know who. John Podesta, who on election night in 2016 told his staff to allege Russian interference, and they did. Her Most Corrupt Neoliberal Majesty, the would-be Empress Hillary I, could not possibly be expected to admit that she was one of the most despised presidential candidates in American history. Even worse, she lost to this, this thing who, had he been born in different circumstances, would have been either a carnival barker or a used car salesman.

As for the rest of Mueller’s testimony, the only thing we learned for sure was that had Trump not been the sitting President, he would have been indicted for obstruction of justice. There’s just no question about that. We also learned that Nancy Pelosi has absolutely no intention of allowing even an impeachment inquiry to go forward, which makes her as useless as tits on a tom cat.

Meanwhile, down in Puerto Rico, whose people have been exploited by foreigners for over 500 years, something remarkable happened. Before Hurricane Maria hit, most Puerto Ricans were hanging on by a thread. The hurricane, and the shameful response by the Trump Administration, which viewed the island as a foreign place populated by brown-skinned people who spoke Spanish and weren’t real Americans or even human beings anyway, had broken that thread.

Then their own government, by its own ineptitude, allowed its corruption and disdain for the Puerto Rican people to be put on full display by the smug use of modern communications technology. Puerto Ricans just went , took to the streets en masse, and remained there until the governor fucking resigned. Damn. I admire that. Way to go, Puerto Rico! Wisconsinites couldn’t get Walker to resign, the population of the mainland hasn’t done anything to scare Trump into thinking of resigning, but Puerto Ricans?

As one comedian, I think it was Trevor Noah, said, Now we know why Trump wants to get rid of Latinos. They know how to get shit doneFuckin’ A.

Once again, we got to see a demonstration of two fundamentally different approaches to accomplishing real change in government. We saw the incremental, technocratic, fussily legalistic approach favored by the Vichy Democrats on Capitol Hill, which accomplished diddlysquat. We also saw what a popular mass movement can do in San Juan.

So tell me, which approach is more effective? And why should I Vote Blue No Matter Who again? I keep forgetting.

You should not vote blue no matter who because that just entrenches the Corporate Third Way Austerity-loving war-hawk Vichy Dems.  To do their owners’ bidding.  This “vote blue no matter who” is not like being a Cubs’ fan, where you hope they will get better every year, but you still buy tickets and go to games and have fun.    The Cubs’ management does not want to cut your Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid and drop bombs on the Yankees.

A Vichy Dem will, quite efficiently, and with a big  smirk, fuck us all over.  With the happy assistance of Congress.  IMO.

Everything I post is just my opinion, and, honestly, I would love to be wrong.
