      CNN —

The White House on Wednesday asserted that President Joe Biden does not support a ban on gas stoves after a federal consumer safety official suggested that such a proposal was on the table.

The White House response follows a recent Bloomberg(link) interview with Biden-appointed US Consumer Product Safety Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr., who called the household appliance a “hidden hazard” and said that “any option is on the table” in relations to regulating them.

“Products that can’t be made safe can be banned,” he added. Besides a ban, other options include “setting standards on emissions from the appliances,” Trumka said.

A White House spokesperson told CNN on Wednesday, “The President does not support banning gas stoves – and the Consumer Product Safety Commission, which is independent, is not banning gas stoves.”

One Republican said he won’t give up his gas stove and they can “come and take it,” a reference to Anglo settlers and Tejanos who refused to give up a cannon to the Mexican Army in 1835. Which of course provoked the liberal cries of racism and such.

My attitude is simple. Show me free point-of-service health care for all, mandatory paid sick days, and clean drinking water in Flint and Jackson. Then I’ll consider something like a gas stove ban for health reasons. Until all of my preconditions are met, however, I know that the liberals pushing this Green Grift garbage don’t give a damn about anyone’s health no matter what they say, and I’ll side with anyone who opposes a gas stove ban on this issue.

They do not give a flying fuck about anyone’s health and welfare but their own. Heh, perhaps someone who manufactures electric stoves has promised a big whopping campaign “contribution”.  Or perhaps power companies are looking to increase profits immediately and monumentally.  And climate lock-down fans know that electric stoves can be shut down at will.

Evidently AOC has tweeted that using a gas stove can damage cognitive abilities.  This was answered with pictures of AOC, Kamala Harris, and Jill Biden using gas stoves.  So perhaps AOC is correct.

One of them in Ohio got some politicians to float the idea of a gas appliance ban a couple of years ago. It was part of a vast bribery scheme that got uncovered and the State House Speaker had to resign over it. Mostly that was allowing power companies to jack up bills, but the gas appliance ban idea originated with the same people.

Of course, this is Ohio and it went nowhere fast. Lots of people in rural areas rely on propane, and of course have gas appliances. That alone should kill any national ban, though New York is trying it anyway. I’ll have to post that article.

PG&E (my favorite corporation as many of you know) has jacked up natural gas prices beyond comprehension. My (unproven) theory is the power companies, especially PG&E, want to eliminate gas so they don’t have to upgrade that part of their infrastructure, too.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — More than six years after a PG&E pipeline explosion killed eight people and injured dozens more, a San Francisco judge handed down a sentence that will put PG&E’s crimes in the spotlight.

The utility giant was convicted of six felony charges connected to the 2010 San Bruno pipeline explosion. PG&E’s sentence includes a $3 million fine, a five-year probation period, independent safety monitoring and 10,000 hours of community service.

But the most publicly visible punishment is an advertising mandate. In the next 60 days, PG&E must take out full-page ads in the San Francisco Chronicle and Wall Street Journal, in addition to 60-second television ads, detailing the nature of PG&E’s offenses and the steps they’re taking to prevent future offenses and disasters.

BTW, did your house escape damage from all that rain?

But other than that, my little corner of paradise has done okay. I am ever so glad we removed some trees before the storms, though. Generally speaking, the Valley has survived quite well. All those flood control measures put in since the big storms of the 70s have paid off. Most of the damage here is caused by trees keeling over in the saturated ground. Slides have been minor, which has been a surprise. I lost power for several hours because of that, as have other areas. The mountain on the western side lost power for close to five days because of equipment failure of my favorite corporation.

I had to replace mine last year, and was able to get a gas heater again.
