If I understand it correctly, OSHA will impose the mandate under its emergency rulemaking authority. OK, but who will enforce the rules? OSHA has been stripped of most of its authority and funding, and can’t even keep up with workplace inspections. Maybe we could assign responsibility to the Space Force?
to enforce the immeasurable as there’s no national vaccination registry.
(Most) businesses will do their best, but it comes down to believing their employees.
As for the weekly test option, who’s paying? What are the requirements? The US still doesn’t have the promised quick, easy and free testing. I ended up with a COVID-19 test last week – I was told results would be in 1 to 4 days. Turned out to be negative in one day – but we still don’t have any easy way to get tested or to get quick results. Most places where you can get a test say results will be in 2 to 5 days.
I can compare this to Odessa, Ukraine where I had to get tested in June to return to the US – lots of labs in the city, and results within 24 hours. It cost about $40, which is a lot for Ukrainians, but at least I could get results overnight.
