FORMER NEW YORK City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has hired two state Democratic party vice chairs in Super Tuesday states with two of the top three highest number of pledged delegates. Bloomberg hired Texas Democratic Party Vice Chair Carla Brailey as a senior adviser to his campaign in December, and he hired California State Democratic Party Vice Chair Alexandra Rooker for a similar role in January.

Both Brailey and Rooker are superdelegates who will likely vote for the Democratic presidential nominee at the party’s national convention this summer. Hiring the leadership of a state party doesn’t appear to break any campaign laws, but it indicates Bloomberg’s intent to effectively purchase political support, said Brendan Fischer, the federal reform program director at the Campaign Legal Center. “This does seem to fit a longstanding pattern of Bloomberg using his billions to help generate support among political elites,” he said.

Rooker is one of two members of Bloomberg’s campaign staff who also sits on the Democratic National Committee’s rules committee, which recommends rules for the convention, the convention agenda, the convention’s permanent officers, amendments to the party’s charter, and other resolutions. In November, the month he entered the presidential race, Bloomberg gave $320,000 to the DNC, his first contributions to the committee since 1998. (He was a registered Republican from 2001 to 2007, after which he became an independent. He registered as a Democrat in 2018.) He also donated $10,000 to the Texas Democratic Party, where Brailey has been vice chair since June 2018, as well as $10,000 to the California Democratic Party. Brailey, Rooker, and the Bloomberg campaign did not respond to requests for comment on their hiring.

Brailey rose through the local Washington Democratic Party structure, as a protege of former Mayor Adrian Fenty, who was himself the patron of current D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, a high-profile backer of Bloomberg.

I think Bloomberg is a bigger threat to Democracy than Trump. After all he is the same person that got himself a third term without a refurendum.

The people of Texas want M4All not the Centrist expensive, and ineffective ACA that covers only some Texans.  Texas did not accept ACA Medicaid or even ACA.  ObamaCare had to set up a Market Place in Texas for Plans by the 2014 implementation of ACA.  Texas Centrist Democrats went with Hillary in 2016.

Brailey may not have been fitting in well with the growing number of moving Left or growing number of Progressive Texans.  Lots of young people are registered to vote for the March 3, 2020 Super Tuesday Primary in Texas.

I hope someone somewhere is making a detailed list for the inevitable great purge.

I want these establishment Dems to wear this like a ball and chain. I also wish them misfortune to lose every nickel of Bloomberg’s bribe in some unforeseen way.

Just all of the commercials alone is annoying. Money must rule Bloomberg’s world.

      Such corruption, the mind boggles.

A former member of JPR once told me that the rich could hire one half of the Country to kill the other half.  I dont think he realized that they dont have to – not as long as they control the system.  They very obviously do control the system.

So, with people like Trump or Bloomberg, the rich get richer and everyone else gets even poorer.  Cuts to social security, Medicare, Medicaid, the failed ACA.

One case in point is my own.  After years of chronic back pain and multiple psychological illnesses, I finally couldn’t work anymore.  So I spent two years being broke, living with my parents.  Finally applied for – and after another couple of years got Medicaid and disability.

At every turn, they have tried to find reason to cut or eliminate my benefits.  Recently, they just did it without even explaining the why or the how.

My entire income is, at present, some 460 in disability and 18 in food stamps.  I am doing what I can to resolve that, but a place to live I would be fucked.  Completely.  Millions of people already are.

Without health insurance, food, clean water, living on less than two dollars a day, right here in America.

We are already dying.  Bloomberg and those of his ilk wish to maintain the status quo- and yes, they can buy politicians, journalists, islands, hell, whatever money CAN buy.

I think Bernie is our last shot at true change before the curtain falls.  So I’ll work for that – but if Trump or Bloomberg win… I will be done playing by their rules.

The poor need to rise up.  I intend to, if they give us no other option.
