The Boogaloo movement, the civilian-run militia, has now infiltrated the U.S. military, VICE News reported Wednesday. Members of the military take an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” but the Boogaloo movement wants to overthrow the American government and start a second “Civil War.”

The word “Boogaloo” is used as a code for “civil war,” which is gaining steam at anti-mask and anti-lockdown protests.
      ……………..

When asking the Defense Department about the concerns of military members of a militia preparing for a violent overthrow of the American government, they said they are “aware of the boogaloo movement,” VICE reported.

It isn’t known what the Pentagon or the branches of the military are doing to curb white supremacy and anti-government sentiment.

Meanwhile, Trump is busy placing his personal fascist loyalists in positions of authority everywhere.

“A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good, just because it's accepted by a majority.” ~ Booker T. Washington

The truth is, there’s no such thing as being “anti-Fascist.” Either you are a decent human being with a conscience, or you are a fascist.

Especially in the military.  Given that the majority of them are very right wing in ideology… If they succeeded in overthrowing the government, it would be a damn nightmare.  I am not sure if republican politicians realize that they are part of that government these people want to destroy.  They are playing to their base by supporting such protests – but it won’t take many people to cause mass chaos.

A small number, particularly in positions of authority, could devastate this Country.  It depends on who they are, what weapons and capabilities they have access to.  It only takes one to blow up a government building or hospital.  It only takes one sniper to assassinate key members of government.

I hope that there are more who will honor their oaths.  It seems likely to me, given the growing chaos of our time, that the military could soon be fighting among themselves.

I hope the veterans here will tell me why im wrong about this – because I really want to be wrong about this.

Kind of explains why the Red Army had “political officers”, to keep an eye on fascist bumpkins conscripted into the ranks.

They love Trump and fascism so much, they want to make him dictator, and have fascism supplant democracy.

        Permanently.

and replace him with Smedley Butler (War is a Racket). Butler betrayed them, but FDR did not even do anything!!

So that is the response we will get from Basement Joe.

We have hate talk media not caring about the lies they spew. Koch bros invented the tea party nee teabaggers. They turned into a real brain dead Frankenstein.

He thought he had his race war or civil war, in Tulsa. He thought the Nazis would come with their guns and shoot up the protesters of police violence and the Juneteenth celebrants. He thought the million attendees was a show of his Nazi strength and he would leave behind a burning city fighting over race.

That is really why he was so sad. He didn’t get his race war no matter all his provocation.

The military has always had its share of KKK, white supremacists and violent overthrow members. The military is made up of younger people serving 4 years or less contracts representative of the general population of America.

It is difficult to get ahead in the military if you do not respect America and it’s institutions. You have to work with Congress and federal funding and loads of regulations. The most successful know how to work a buracracy, not how to get their buddies in a violent rage.

There are many minorities and women in their ranks. They are not all white male. The officers of the military, who also have minorities and women in their ranks, support the status quo.

A pack of enraged guys wanting to start a civil war are hard to control…..aside from being illegal according to the UCMJ. There maybe military members who support such a violent idea but they rarely make up the majority and get out after only 2 to 4 years because doing a good job in the military is all consuming.

The lifers are usually patriotic and took their oath seriously. They take their job seriously and work hard to get ahead. Even if some buy into the stupidity of the idea, do they have time to practice it, keep it hidden (cause you could get kicked out for it if someone writes you up.) and then get stationed in the US at the right place to implement their mad ideas.

The military is not a homogenous group. They are made up of the all the same people that live in the US. I would be surprised if a pro race war nut group could take hold of the entire organization.

Rawstory clickbait giving Dailymail a run for their money in their quest to be the gold standard in yellow journalism. As usual the content in the article does not back up the headline very well.

This is all sourced from a slightly more measured, less hair on fire Vice article. The alleged “infiltration” is mostly based off of Discord conversations and Facebook profiles  where Boogaloo members self-identified as military personnel. To which I say:

Of course, I’m sure it’s true that some of these people really are in the military, but the notion that they have completed anything remotely close to an infiltration and are in any position to have a credible chance at overthrowing the government is laughable. But hey, a frightened citizenry is much easier to control…

Civil war is still unlikely, but that won’t stop media outlets from trying to provoke one. :/

They probably expect monuments to be erected to them like the ones now being removed.
