Ayatollah RESIGNS after country admits shooting down jet, killing 176 people

The Foreign Office has hit out at Iran for a ‘flagrant violation of international law’ after the UK ambassador to the country was arrested during a protest in the capital Tehran.

Diplomat Rob Macaire was present during demonstrations against Ayatollah Khamenei in front of Tehran’s Amir Kabir University and was arrested after allegedly ‘organising, provoking and directing radical actions’, according to local reports.

Thousands had gathered to demand the supreme leader’s resignation after his regime admitted it had mistakenly shot down a civilian passenger plane during retaliation against the US’ assassination of Qasem Soleimani.

Mr Macaire, a diplomat with 30 years experience, was released following more than an hour in detention.

The Ayatollah didn’t resign. Click bait is not a good way to lead a story like this. Yes, Iranians don’t like their government lying to them like they did. I wish I saw Americans standing up like this against government lies. Regardless, the Iranian regime did finally admit the truth, which is more than can be said about our own government.

^THIS.^  It’s hard enough finding the real news without JPR’ers making sh*t up.

Compare to the Ukranian government’s response to United States Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland handing out bread to the protesters in Kyiv in 2013.

    Right you are – nothing.

Wow…Iran’s becoming a ‘pariah’ state for arresting and detaining a UK diplomat….whereas the US which dispenses with the arrest and detention and just has diplomats assassinated crossed the pariah threshold long ago.

So the British Ambassador was held for a whole hour by people who may well have been thinking that there was about to be an all-out war with the United States starting at any minute. Things like this happen when a whole nation is understandably freaked out.

The Iranians let him go. It’s done. They didn’t even assassinate anyone. The Daily Mail can be sensationalist and is obviously trying to gin up British nationalistic outrage so they can get more clicks.
