He ruined their scam in Afghanistan. They had pretty a good deal over there, making nice carers, getting promotions, shooting Muslims. Now they’re complaining about Biden. What about you, you fuckers? Yeah, you! The people who spent 20 years jerking us around and lying about it, telling everyone you were building a wonderful Afghan army capable of defending against the Taliban.

Maybe career military, but not a great military career . . .

I wonder if he (or she – Dakota can be either – and the video won’t play) just didn’t do well in the military, or was demoted after promotions.  Or maybe “retired” after a year?

But I’m not sure I’d trust the opinion of a corporal to represent the military.

The Palin connection medical issues explain much – but I would think that this guy isn’t a going to convince a lot of people.  They could find someone who didn’t obviously display “incompetency.”

And I suspect that there are quite a number of military who would agree – but I don’t believe they are permitted to an express an opinion while they are a member of the military.

I looked him up and found out his life is a total mess. He was married to Bristol Palin, so that suggests he is not very well centered. It appears the only thing he can do with his life is appear on Fox News and act stupid. I think he is “retired” because he had a medical issues related to PTSD, alcoholism and attempted suicide. They used him up and spit him out, and he’s lashing out at the wrong people.

and forgive me for this discussion warrants a discussion all of its own………….

But government, political elites, the military get the best health care in America.  I’ve experienced through social media friends whose family members are battling horrific diseases and challenges with cancer where the financial strain is equal to the disease.

Translated, this ends up resulting in the population least challenged vis a vis health care costs, i.e.,  non-innovators, non-artists, promoters  and protectors of the status quo are perpetuated in their careers and throughout society ad nauseam.

but I’ve noticed a negative trend lately in government services like veterans health care in the last few years.   Other federal agencies are similarly in a downward trend.   I hesitate to say this because years earlier, I would say, that the VA was literally a lifesaver for me and other veterans.

Now if you need veterans services they try to divert you to internet services or discuss private medical matters on the phone which to me, is a completely inappropriate venue.   Its very difficult to get good care now imo or see a specialist.   I feel the same way about the social security administration.   they don’t want to do anything.  their offices are closed for all practical purposes.   they like the private service industries are shifting their administrative burden of providing services to their customers with the digital excuse.  Trying to contact someone is an ordeal every time, placed on hold repeatedly, and ultimately hung up on after being told to “do it online.”   During the automated diversion process you are constantly asked to answer surveys about how good their service is.   How about this answer, “it sucks, what are you being paid for?”  Here’s another answer, “you’re web site sucks too.”

This is just anecdotal.   I know a 100 percent disabled vet who completely disagrees with me.  That’s fine too.  I had much better care from the VA in the past, and I know I had much better medical care while on active duty years ago.

that government services are declining and it isn’t / wouldn’t be a surprise….

But however bad government services are for the military or are declining, the military and especially political elites (+) fare far better than the rest of the population…..and these two groups aren’t necessarily those whose strengths are in creativity and innovation.

Yes, i think that’s right.  Overall, the point is well taken.   The active duty military and elites are in a far better position than the rest of us.   In that respect I remember the old MASH line, “Big stitches or little stitches?”  I think that principle still applies.
