Very little analysis in this RT story

Alexander Mercouris indicts Blinken and Sullivan regarding this incident – posted below and in Multimedia.    Also looking forward to ‘crosstalk’ coverage.    Not to be the pessimist but I think that foreign policy is going the way of domestic policy (a la the Va./New Jersey elections) et. al…..I don’t have high expectations.  tbc no doubt

CIA director William Burns has visited Moscow for secret talks, amid ever-worsening Russian-American relations, meeting with National Security Council head Nikolai Patrushev, both Russia and the US have announced.

A brief missive, issued by Russia’s National Security Council to the media on Tuesday, did not mention any details from the meeting.

The CIA boss came to Russia alongside “a delegation of high-ranking US officials,” the US Embassy in Moscow told RIA Novosti. The officials are meeting Russian government officials on November 2-3 “to discuss a number of issues in bilateral relations,” the mission added.

It’s getting closer and closer to completely breaking diplomatic relations between the US and Russia, and, frankly, I’d hate that.

Actually, the last thing the world needs is for the US to ‘move its agenda forward’. The only reason this administration might try to make amends with Russia, would be to focus on its crimes against humanity in east Asia. The US needs a strong deterrent right now, and Russian leaders probably understand this.

This report is from TASS, a Russian news agency, at https://tass.com/world/1358147 .

The TV channel noted that during his official two-day visit this week, William Burns also expressed concern that Russia is close to using its gas exports as leverage

NEW YORK, November 6. /TASS/. CIA director William Burns visited Moscow in order to let Russia know that the US was closely monitoring the alleged buildup of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border. As CNN reported on Friday, citing its sources, the US intelligence chief was supposed to determine what was motivating Russia’s actions.

On Tuesday, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov branded the reports of Russian military equipment “near the borders with Ukraine” as “cheap fake news.” The press secretary emphasized that the movement of Russian military equipment and troops inside the country is solely Moscow’s internal affair.

So much for a hope for diplomacy, again. And as I’d noted earlier, the region of the troop movements were closer to Moscow and Belarus than the Ukrainian border.

Once again the meddling American government warning Russia about Russia moving Russian troops inside Russian territory. How do you say “Let’s Go Brandon” in Russian?

All governments lie to their citizen's, but only Americans believe theirs.
