First, here’s a quote from Wikipedia that provides insight on his world view.
During the campaign, Donna Brazile commented on Mook’s micro-tagging of voters based on purchasing preferences and how it “missed the big picture”. In the aftermath of the campaign, former staffers and political pundits criticized Mook for actions taken during the campaign. In particular, they faulted his excessive focus on data analytics and a management style that appeared to impair other staffers’ access to critical information.
After the campaign, New York Times reporter Amy Chozick stated that Mook had mocked former President Bill Clinton for urging the campaign to touch base with the white working class in the upper Midwestern battleground states such as Wisconsin and Michigan, using a Grandpa Simpson voice to spoof the former President.

That being said, away we go.
Beware: Russian operatives will try to divide Democrats again in the 2020 primary, making activists unwitting accomplices.

If you wrote out a list of the most important factors in the 2016 election, I'm not sure that Russian social media memes would be among the top 100. The scale was quite small and there's not much evidence that they were effective.

Anyone that disagrees with them is immediately a member of the enemy, or at least an unwitting ally. As if none of us have the ability to think for ourselves. And I’d bet critical thinking skills are much more in play on this board than places like SV.
To echo a comment above. Can’t they just go away. How many rejections do they need to get the message.

controls, nor will I support it. Smells like they thought Beto DINO was gonna be a shoo-in, or at least a great placeholder until 2020. And perhaps they are confused about folks caring about “issues”, and are bewildered when the “purist!” admonition does not work any more. Also don’t think the DNC has quite grasped that people have really left the Democratic Party, and they still expect unquestioning obeisance from those people.

Mook. I mean really. Talk about an albatross around one’s neck.
Just had to get in my only ad-hominem attack of the year…before it’s over.

for politicians who they believe will faithfully represent their interests once they are in power. The Lesser of Two Evils argument is simply irrelevant to many of us. They also suffer from the identity politics delusion that some ID political group, such as white suburban Republican women, will vote for Democratic candidates if they just advertise well enough.
Branding sells soap, not politicians. They’re so blinded by capitalist techniques they cannot politically message their way out of a paper bag.
