Update on site issues: (1. replies now need a title *and* something in the message box, 2. certain links are causing strange pop-ups on Apple devices, and 3. Some folks can't type anything into the text box.) Basically, a series of unfortunate events set us back on testing. We'll get to it as soon as we can, and hopefully things can get fixed by this weekend if not before.  More info: https://jackpineradicals.com/boards/topic/site-problems-more-info/

      1. Sorry for my paranoia but I am starting to feel uncomfortable about this.

Who wants more that ever to discredit Trump?  The Clinton/Podesta Group.  I expect CNN and the rest of Clinton Media to stand up to Trump.

I don’t like Trump but those that are persecuting him are no better.   It may be that some pretty powerful people are out to get Trump.

        11. Oh I think there ARE powerful people out to get Trump

because Trump wasn’t supposed to win!

Trump is a big rogue yam through the looking glass.

          14. I hear that argument however, I want to know how can someone

          win that isn’t supposed to?

              23. They miscalculated Bernie supporters from the beginning. So it is not so hard to

understand how the wrong one could have won.

            27. Because his opponents crew ran a terrible campaign

and people perceived her as sleazier than Trump. They were over confident. They thought Sander supporters would swing back and support her after they cheated him out of the Dem nomination. They said fuck you to us when we tried to tell them she was flawed and said that they didn’t need us- so we told them fuck you back.

            And that’s how it happened!

                32. I love bedtime stories.

When my husband was alive and my son was small- I would read them both to sleep at night. My dream job- recording audio books. It’ll never happen, but I can still read aloud to people.

              42. So was it an accident that Trump managed to get just the right

states to win the EC while losing the popular vote?   Some believe those states were manipulated to allow Trump to win.

            35. I don't do this kind of thing as a rule.

Maybe it came to me because just a few days ago I was reminiscing with my sister about how, when we were kids in the 50s, real Idaho potatoes were used as the pegboard for all Mr Potato Head’s extremities and hats and shoes. Hahaha!  Such a laugh to remember.

        30. My thought on reading the title – Why is an exclamation point needed

when saying CNN stands up to Trump?  Surely there is no expectation whatsoever that they wouldn’t?

It seems that neither party understands it does them no favors to play king-of-the-mountain on political opponents.  They look childish doing so, and hypocritical when crying about what the other side is saying about their people.

He called out the liars in the press and they are.  He called out the rude press and they are.

Trump won – as the obnoxious ones did not get their questions answered.  Even Thom Hartmann himself cuts the microphone on his show when he doesn’t like where questions or the conversations going. I have heard him do it on a multiple occasions.

      15. CNN blows

CNN was first to publicly refer to the fake dossier “endorsed by CIA” (which had been circulating for long and others didn’t want to touch, for good reasons), which then prompted Buzzfeed to publish the garbage as is, for public to see for themselves what kind of “secret CIA memo” CNN refers to.

The story is not about Trump or anything else, it’s about CNN. And how it blows.

      21. CNN's recent track record has been absolutely terrible.

Let’s see… last week one of their reporters falsely broadcast that Julian Assange was a pedophile.  When Assange threatened suit within 48 hours, CNN apologized and promptly removed their reporter’s fake story.  Donna Brazille CNN consultant gave Hillary Clinton the presidential debate questions in advance of the debate on two occasions, effectively helping to rig the election in Clinton’s favor.  And then there is this gem from Chris Cuomo of the Clinton News Network.

CNN at the very least deserves a dressing down.  They deserve what they got today.
