The coronavirus is spreading at ever-faster rates in a broad array of states, putting the U.S. on the precipice of an explosion of illness that threatens to overwhelm the nation’s health care system.

The painful economic lockdowns imposed in March gave the country time to flatten the epidemiological curve and contain the virus. But that window of opportunity, which came at great economic cost, is quickly slamming shut. Health experts say all signs point to a deadly summer and fall unless government leaders implement a much more robust national strategy.

The breadth of the spread is staggering. Forty-three states have seen the number of cases confirmed on an average day increase in the last two weeks. The number of patients in hospitals has risen over the same period in 29 states. More than 80 percent of intensive care beds are occupied in Alabama, Arizona and Georgia.

Stay as far away from Trump supporters/conservative religious fanatics as you can.

Birds of a feather flock together, so you can be sure anyone who is not wearing a mask where appropriate is also hanging out with others who are not taking precautions to protect themselves and others from getting infected and transmitting the virus.

Protect yourself and your family and friends.  Consider all Trump supporters to be infected and dangerous. They are walking coronavirus farms.

We have one of those outgrowth churches that was gifted a building by Levin Furniture in Monroeville, PA. Their flock, which was too limited by the building they were gifted, so now they’ve successfully approached a ill-informed school board to move their infested flock, which has tripled so they can hold church in the high school auditorium. This might bring a few tens of thousands into the income gap for the school board, but who is going to be responsible for deep cleaning the school? You can’t find out easily unless you get the copy of the Zoom school board meeting.

It’s unraveling society in a most sick way, figuratively and literally.

Hell, no... I'm not giving up...

Trump & Pence should resign. No one wants to come here and no one wants any Americans coming to their country. We are now the worlds largest leper colony.

I know several Trump supporters who take Covid very seriously and wear a mask when they go out.  I know democrats who hate Trump’s guts but think the virus is just another FUD tactic that’s been cooked up to make us give up our rights.  I wish I better understood the psychology around this but I just don’t understand how you can look around and see what’s going on and not think it’s a big deal.  Whatever it is, it’s not entirely a partisan issue.  I think the problem comes down to the complete collapse of confidence in the mainstream news.  If you can’t trust what they tell you then you’ll get your information somewhere else and there’s a lot of weird bullshit out there that has no basis in reality.  How do you know which information to trust?

Abundance of widespread, clear evidence, and simple common sense.  First rule of common sense is: never believe anything Trump says, or you may find yourself drinking kool-aid flavored bleach, or believing coronavirus is a hoax.

Even the most dedicated RW conspiracy theorist will have a tough time ‘splainin away so many hospitals full of dying people in ICU’s.

They should be asked if things are so great why not volunteer at a hospital. They are hurting for help in some regions.

It’s just ignorant to imply that anyone not wearing a mask is a Trump supporter. I frequently see Black and Puerto Rican people not wearing them, and I guarantee you most of them are not Trump supporters.

Naturally, you wouldn’t think of that, living where you do. Just remember the whole country isn’t rural Redneckistan or exurban White Flightland.

The green party says democrats won’t bring trump and the republican party to justice for being responsible for the needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of americans from civid 19 and the fear of going to a hospital and getting it.  If green party asks biden what are you going to do to punish trump and the republican party? What will dnc and biden if he can. Do to punish them for all of the needless deaths? The american people want them punished, does the donor class, dnc and establishment democrats? What if they run commercial showing the black robed grim reaper with scythe in one hand pointing to donad trump and republicans with the other hand saying “I want YOU!”

I’ve seen plenty of mask wearers, both sides of the political fence in my area.

I have also noticed a few…um…(I want to call em ‘whackos’)…nonbelievers who try to tell me that our government is way out of line for forcing us to wear masks.

It has been my experience that these nonbeliever types also come from either side of the political support aisle.

In the case of those who feel the need not to wear a mask, they can get quite militant with their rationalls.

Generally they blame the politicians on the opposite side of the aisle for all of their woes. So in that sense it is political but all I hear from them is tin hat conspiracy.

I wear a mask. I wash my hands. I need to get out less. All this, not because I support this or that party, I do these things because we are in the midst of a pandemic….

…and I do these things because live in a country where, even though their numbers are small, far too many people I have encountered have their heads up their butts.

Hasn’t worn masks since this pandemic started. They had a lock down from March to May but not much of anything else. But that actually managed to flatten the curve. Then the idiots in charge decided to f*ck it up.

They opened up wide. Everything was opened from restaurants and hair salons to Dollywood, the Great Smokies National Forest and churches. And as predicted by every valid credentialed Virologist, it spread like wild fire through the population.

Now, they are locking down many cities. The Governor is a Trump worshipper so forget getting a statewide shut down. It’s going city by city now, so Trump won’t get his feelings hurt and think TN is following the scientific evidence.

The county is demanding everyone wear masks. The 2 cities nearby are on lockdown. We lost all the benefits of the last lock down and our hospitals are overwhelmed and in deep trouble. Restaurants and stores are announcing shut downs when they get infections spreading through their employees. And one by one everything is shutting down again.

No coordination. All piecemeal, poorly organized and haphazard. And no one knows what’s going on except that our infection rate is higher per 100,000 then in LA.

This is how the conservative politicians roll. It’s one big mess with lives at stake.

AND they are still talking about sending your children back into infected buildings come the end of August. Notice their children don’t go to those schools.

This is what conservatism and the GOP have turned our nation into. A swamp of infection, illness and death.

Covid-19 foolish deniers has set forth their intentional crusade to purge the elderly to benefit from their possessions and our earthly resources for which they hope to free ride for the rest of their lives. They are so blinded with self centered selfishness that they refuse to realize that this Covid virus and its future mutated cousins also destroys children and their own adult generations filled with such ignorance. Mankind has figured out how to slither to the top of the list of what kills off civilizations the quickest.
