We should have some of the weirdness fixed by tomorrow. We will have to take the site down for a few hours first. We will let you know when asap. In the meantime, you still need to have text in both the title bar and textbox. Thank you for your patience

    Daily Holidays – January 5

National Whipped Cream Day Nothing completes an ice cream sundae, hot chocolate or a piece of pumpkin pie quite like a luxurious dollop of real whipped cream. What a delight to celebrate all that is great about whipped cream with Whipped Cream Day! https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/whipped-cream-day/

Bird Day There are a lot of different species of birds in the world. Different people have different relationships with the various species. As such, one could easily imagine that there are actually numerous Bird Days in the world, serving different purposes varying by region. What we’re talking about is known as Bird Day, observed primarily in the United States, which is different from occasions such as International Migratory Bird Day, World Migratory Bird Day, Bird Day (UK), and several other Bird Days which do not follow the same etymology as “turkey day”. We’ll also note that all of these are all named for our avian friends, not the late Senator Robert Byrd. The National is a bit deceptive here; For a day to technically be a National holiday, an Act of Congress is required, and there’s no evidence that has ever happened. That being said, it is popularly known as Bird Day, regardless of whatever Congress might think of that. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/bird-day/

      4. I do as well,

at least most of the time. Prefer they not decorate the car, but other than that their are good!

If it wasn’t so blasted cold today, I would run out to the Audubon Center nearby and check on what is going on there. However, it’s a much better day to stay inside with a pot of soup in the slow cooker.

        6. We have a few feeders

It’s amazing the amount of birds we get. I love them. They’re my outdoor pets! :bounce:

          7. Several years ago

I went to an all day photography seminar and two of the speakers were a couple who had converted a farm in Illinois into a photo/bird habit. They spent time learning about the diets and habits of the various migratory birds that would pass through their area and set up blinds for photographers to use to photograph the birds through the year. I thought it was rather inventive.

          They had some great photos….
