    1. You have to care, but then you have to do.

To make a difference you have to participate.

I care for a great multitude of people, but I can’t DO things for them, so I’m failing the test.

This is a bad one KauaiK.

      2. WHY do you think you have to DO THINGS for them?

      I disagree with you.

Sometimes you just need to “be there”; be the shoulder, be the ear to listen (you don’t have to really listen or respond; just be there); reach out electronically to someone who needs a pseudo-human being to with whom to connect.    If someone is going through a difficult time; is ill or the like,  just sending a text or email that you were thinking of them means a lot to people.

Christopher Hitchen’s mother committed suicide with a “lover” no one knew about.  He wrote that people didn’t know WHAT to say so they said nothing; were completely silent.  He said he never felt so alone trying to console a younger brother and father.  He wrote and encouraged people to reach out; you don’t have to DO or SAY anything.  Just be there.
