“I think we ought to make the decision when we have a better sense of where the economy is going,” said Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who added “there’s an element of truth” to the argument that policymakers shouldn’t raise taxes during a recession.

Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), a member of the Senate Finance Committee and one of Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) closest allies, said she has “no idea” when Democrats would move a tax package next year if they win control of the White House and the Senate.

“We have so much on our plate. We’ve got to deal with COVID and testing,” she said. “We need to put in place a whole thing to get our arms around the virus and a recovery act.”

I was originally going to put this LBN, but I realized it’s probably not “news” to anyone here. I wish they’d just admit they really don’t want to be in power, and save everyone the expense and insult of pretending otherwise. But I guess the show must go on….

Both parties are social friends with each other. They work together for their own betterment, not ours.

We are an arrogant species, believing our fantasy based "facts" are better than the other person's fake facts.
If you are wrong, it will be because you are not cynical enough.
Both major political parties are special interest groups enabling each other for power and money, at the expense of the people they no longer properly serve…

Or more likely, they are just chickenshits that won’t go against their .1% masters.

More trickle down bs. But hey, remember to vote blue no mater who!!

They don’t want to cost their donors anything, but they don’t give a flying fuck about the rest of us. Anyone who believes otherwise is either ignorant or a fool.

Are there really any left?  Or maybe I should say “remaining”, since “left” is anathema to the Democratic Party.

Not voting for any Democrats.  The only down-ticket one for me to vote for is a woman who does not even bother to discuss issues, but is very detailed on how she loves to work across the aisle, even if it means upsetting those in her own party.  Honey, that is what your own party does now.   No one but your constituents would be upset.  And who cares about them, amiright?

Obama had the White House, Senate, and the House?  Oh, that’s right all he had to do was nothing and the tax cuts would have been repealed, but he went out of his way to make them permanent.  Does anyone think he will actually have his puppet do anything this time?
