Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff each brought in more than $100 million in a two-month period, setting a blistering fundraising pace in their quest to topple two Republican incumbents in Georgia and seize control of the US Senate, new filings show.Warnock reported total receipts of more than $103 million between October 15 and December 16, far surpassing the nearly $64 million collected by Sen. Kelly Loeffler, the Republican incumbent he is trying to unseat. Ossoff, meanwhile, raised even more: $106.8 million, according to his filing Thursday with the Federal Election Commission, a sum that shatters fundraising records in a year when Democratic candidates already had raised astounding amounts from energized online contributors.Ossoff aides say his campaign attracted more than 1.4 million donors in two months.Republican Sen. David Perdue, Ossoff’s opponent, reported total receipts of a little more than $68 million, his filing shows.morehttps://www.cnn.com/2020/12/24/politics/georgia-senate-runoffs-ossoff-warnock-fundraising/index.htmltoo bad it means almost nothing nowadays. but I will bet a lot of political consultants are having a very merry Christmas this year

Hillary showed us in 2016, and Vichy Dems in general showed us not two months ago, that massive fundraising advantages don’t mean nearly as much as they did back in the 80s and 90s, which happens to be the time in which the corporatist Dems are stuck.
Even if both Democrats win, too many Senate Democrats will side with Republicans if it ever really counts, and Biden will brag about whatever compromise the Turtle comes up with.

Even if they win the races there will magically be enough volts to stop anything remotely progressive and plenty of votes to pass money for the mic.

How does this in any way promote democracy that two blue dog Democrats can raise the most money?
The only good news is that soon I won’t have to see Stacy Abrams on youtube – afraid to guess where she’ll end up in Biden’s cabinet.
