The widely anticipated Des Moines Register/CNN/Mediacom poll of likely Iowa Democratic caucus-goers was scrapped shortly before it was set to be released Saturday night after a complaint by one interviewee about how it was conducted.
The stunning announcement by the media sponsors and West Des Moines-based pollster Selzer & Co. means the results of the historically accurate survey won’t be released before Monday caucuses. The decision left the campaign and political media universe, which has descended on Des Moines, dumbfounded.
I feel much better since I gave up hope.

“Our campaign received a report from a recipient of the Iowa Poll call, raising concerns that not every candidate was named by the interviewer when asked who they support,” Smith tweeted. “We shared this with the organizations behind the poll, who conducted an internal investigation and determined not to release it. We applaud CNN and the Des Moines Register for their integrity.”
According to two sources familiar with the poll, one interviewer at the call center used for the survey enlarged the font size on their monitor, potentially cutting off some names on the randomized list of candidates — including Buttigieg’s in the interview in question.
I mean… I don’t give a fuck about Buttigeig, but if that’s true – and it seems like a easy thing to disprove if not – then it’s a good thing this poll was scrapped. All the candidates need to be on it.

Polls are used to lead public opinion. It hasn’t always been this way, but it sure is this way now.
You can no more trust the persons/corporations conducting the polls than the persons/corporations presenting the polls as definitive statements of political reality. Unfortunately, its all bought. Intended to produce a result. Even more unfortunately, the scam works against even people who are totally aware of how it operates, when “an opinion poll” goes their way. The gullibility slide can’t be slithier, as we gyre and gimble in the wabe.

So, a single person from how large a sample size taints the entirety of the poll?
As opposed to discounting the data from the caller who made an error? Or adjusting the margine of error to compensate for the faulty caller.
No. Throw the whole thing out and waste the time and money spent.
Okay……

Bernie must really be so far ahead that fixing the vote is gonna take longer. Because the DNC and CNN have always told us it is better to vote for the poll leader, because the important thing is to win the general election. Bwahahahaha! And yeah, Biden/DNC/Someone along those lines complained.

Huge plus one!

Voters in Iowa do not want to elect an individual that wishes to cut Social Security. The word is out.
