No, I don’t think this is a joke. It’s not an official Biden video, but it sure is popular with his supporters. Reading their comments, apparently I’m mistaken in not believing that this is a powerful commentary certain to convince those sceptical of Biden’s superpowers. WTF? In case you don’t want to suffer through the entire ad, here’s the punchline: BIDEN: He can run and drink water.

Holy fucking christ, Batman! When did that become the low bar? By that qualification, hell, I’m OVERqualified.

But no one — except Russian bots and closet Trump lovers — seems to be at all concerned with the fact that all this running is at least 4 years old. I’d like to see him do that now. While drinking water. I somehow envision a slow shuffle and drool. But, hey, I’m just a Russian bot. 😀

A brutal new ad burning through social media outlets this week contrasts a spry Biden running around the White House with the slow and awkward gait of Trump descending the ramp at West Point.

Relying on visuals and mood music, the ad says so much without saying much at all. The final slide drives it home with the message: “Biden: He can run and drink water.” The video is especially powerful when you remember the way Trump questioned Hillary’s “STRENGTH and STAMINA” while he was on the campaign trail. Now, it appears the tables have turned.

sedated and in his basement.  That being said, I suppose if being faux-spry is THE qualification, Biden should stop his ridiculous assertion that he will be just like FDR.  What a pathetic display this ad is, and gee – “hard-hitting”?  Who thinks this is what voters are looking for?  Might have been a half-assed tactic in the primaries, although I am certain Bernie can run rings around Biden, but in the general?  What the fuck?  I guess when the DNC goes for “issue free” – they mean it!!!!!!

and I can do pushups and drink with one hand. That doesn’t mean Id be a good president. Kind of childish if you ask me. But Joe has nothing else. Platform? Nope. Ideas about climate change? Not that I’m aware of.

I’m reaching the point of no return. I just don’t give a f*** any more. The ultra rich want to destroy this country? Go for it ass holes. Good luck finding nannies for your progeny. Or someone to mow your lovely lawns, clean your houses, go to the supermarket for your filet mignons. Don’t know how to cook a meal? You should have paid attention to your grandmas. As I used to say from time to time “Eat shit and die.”

It’s his mental condition that’s questionable. Having said that, I’m also sure that any video of him & Barry jogging would have been from several years ago, and not really relevant to the state of his body right now. Biden’s in his late 70s, for Hell’s sake. There are some mortals out there who can be in excellent physical health for their age and then suddenly one day, it catches up with them. Mick Jagger, for example… running around on stage well into his mid 70s. Had to postpone a tour last summer to get his heart valve fixed. It happens.

His Secret Service detail would take the piles he made and scatter them in front of him so he could keep going.

The sad fact being that his dementia made it that he needed to concentrate on raking leaves so as to not break down from being distraught over his loss of memory.

One of the last photos the family released of Reagan was taken on Feb. 6, 2000, his 89th birthday. It shows him and his wife at home, in matching red sweaters, sharing a kiss and cake, the former president still looking trim.

As late as the year before, his biographer Edmund Morris reported, Reagan was still strong enough to rake leaves from the family pool, but even that basic household chore had become tinged with sadness.

“He will rake leaves for hours, not realizing that they are being surreptitiously replenished by his Secret Service men,” Morris wrote.

I think Biden is getting cutting edge treatment for his condition now, and that’s what allowing him some good moments, like his one on one debate with Bernie, that stand in contrast to his usual breakdowns when confronted (not that Bernie actually confronted Biden when debating him).

Extrapolating from what I’ve read of the nootropics that are being tried out to compensate for the effects of incipient dementia, and to just optimize thinking and mood, the side effects that Team Biden need to be concerned about are flashes of anger/raging, and the need to cycle whatever they’re giving him. God help them if insomnia is a side effect, because a couple of nights of that could leave Biden more of a rambling wreck than usual.

It’s been months since Joe Biden has taken questions other than from a carefully selected audience. I watched him walk on Memorial Day – I would like to see how he runs today. But more importantly, I want policy statements and to see how he responds to open questions.

I did find an American Leadership page (https://joebiden.com/americanleadership/) which includes “Renew American Leadership to Mobilize Global Action on Global Threats” and the paragraph

End Forever Wars: Biden will end the forever wars in Afghanistan and the Middle East, which have cost us untold blood and treasure. As he has long argued, Biden will bring the vast majority of our troops home from Afghanistan and narrowly focus our mission on Al-Qaeda and ISIS. And he will end our support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen. Staying entrenched in unwinnable conflicts only drains our capacity to lead on other issues that require our attention, and it prevents us from rebuilding the other instruments of American power.

I don’t hear any real change with a continuing mission on Al-Qaeda and ISIS – just more “treasure” spent, and the Saudi’s had the support of the Obama / Biden Administration.

Ah, well – back to the hot topic of the day – I suspect you’ve already seen what I think is Biden’s last public appearance:

@jbnw, seriously? I had not see that photo before. Wow. Couldn’t even fill a socially-distanced auditorium. That guy in the middle circle must feel so lucky!

@jbnw, So has the campaign gotten around to blaming those pesky kpop fans yet? Oh, wait. I almost forget which dinosaurs I’m talking about here. I’ll bet they’re sticking with the tried-and-true Russian bots. 😀
