Devon confuses HBCU with "school choice"

What a can you expect from an educational poser but a statement pulled out of her ass…

    Ref: The Guardian

Betsy DeVos sparks ire by linking historically black colleges with ‘school choice’

Betsy DeVos, the controversial newly appointed secretary of education, is facing scorn on Capitol Hill and around the country after releasing a statement that compared the emergence of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), amid pervasive and overt racial exclusion, with the battle for “school choice”.

    2. see how even the damn wingnuts try to claim an association with the

    civil rights struggle?

that just shows you what they think will sell to the proles; iow, it tells us we’re on the right side (which means the left)

these days it seems like everyone and their dog was part of the civil rights movement — I wonder who those folks doing the spitting beating and killing were?

      3. And, everyone saw immediate problems with her understanding "equality"…

So, I know I’m speaking to the choir here, but isn’t it just stunning to see how billionaires view how slaves and indentured servants are afforded greater access and greater quality education?

I love and re-tweeted Major Beige’s – DeVos saying HBCUs are examples of school choice is like saying the underground railroad is an example of social mobility.

The fact is, her comments about choice is the MAIN REASON she should have attended public schools!!! She would have had a MUCH better education… one that money cannot buy.

    4. If she's Secretary of Education

Shouldn’t a dead person be Secretary of Health and Human Services?

Shouldn’t a homeless person be Secretary of the Treasury?

Shouldn’t the EPA be headed by Scott Pruitt?

(OK, Trump’s 2 for 4 in finding the least qualified person for the job.)

Policy:  The mistaken notion that bossy people have that they can influence other people's behavior through majority rule.

    7. Do you think that she can avoid Bernie for the next four years?

Some education might be in order regarding school choice in the AA community

      8. We sure have our work cut out for us, neh?

I hope we can find the time between school “choice” and gainful employment to protest as well as Bernie Sanders did and may yet still. His voice needs to be heard to push this mother forward, and us in their face.
