The U.S. Department of Labor released a statement on March 17 announcing that the department and two subsidiaries of The Walt Disney Co. have reached an agreement that will provide $3.8 million in back wages to Disney’s Florida employees. Back wages will be paid to 16,339 employees of the Disney Vacation Club Management Corp. and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts U.S. Inc., which are both located at Lake Buena Vista. The department’s Wage & Hour Division found violations of minimum wage, overtime and record keeping provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, according to the statement.

    2. Good grief! This is the company that fired American tech worker to hire…

…foreign workers and they still have to screw their minimum wages workers.

“We didn’t know the workers were getting under-paid”  ….all 16,339 of them.  LOL!!  Yeah!

      3. Just the gate from one day at one of their parks

would probably pay these workers. I couldn’t believe how expensive it was in Disney World over 25 years ago when my son was a little guy.  I would say “they should be ashamed of themselves” but of course that’s never going to be the case.

    4. Good news

I would have hoped that some jail time would be in order, but at least people are getting the money they are due.
