.
We are an arrogant species, believing our fantasy based "facts" are better than the other person's fake facts.
If you are wrong, it will be because you are not cynical enough.
Both major political parties are special interest groups enabling each other for power and money, at the expense of the people they no longer properly serve…

This morning I looked at my FB feed and someone had asked for comments on the Dem convention. One person said words to this effect: the speeches were great, especially Michelle’s — and except for Bernie’s. Bernie, she said, “just doesn’t know when to stop”.
Yep. The ONLY speech that included actual policies, the one that managed to give some concrete reasons to vote for Biden… that’s the one she singled out as uniquely bad.
It is instructive to see just how upside-down the perceptions have become. I think we’re beyond repair, personally. The polls are tightening, in spite of Trump’s many failures; and the most loyal followers of the Democratic establishment want nothing more than to install their do-nothing sold-out nullities into office. They most certainly do not want to be bothered with things like, you know, substance or anything like that. I mean, policies? Puhleeze. Yawn. Amirite?

Just waiting for Obama to make a pitch for the TPP like he did a month before the last presidential election. The labor unions really liked that….oh wait no they didn’t.

If you look at the Covid-19 data with a statistician’s eye, you will see that the Gaussian second wave has peaked. That means fewer cases, fewer deaths as we go into the fall campaign. With the worst of the pandemic behind us, Trump is not going to look near as incompetent as he could. I really would like to see the Orange Buffoon gone, but I think the Democrats are going to be able to throw this election in the toilet.

Note to Moderates.
This election is a referendum on Donald Trump.
The referendum on your half assed ideology was concluded in 2016. You lost. Trump is your fault. 100%.
We are looking for two immediate emergencies to end. The pandemic and the Trump presidency.
After that, we are coming for you.
Don’t ever believe, for one second, that we are “united”.
Want to know why?
No moderate Democrats came to AOC’s defense after Kasich tweeted about her on the day of the convention. How revealing was this? The moderate Democrat vision of the suburban housewife isn’t all that different than Trumps. It is nothing more than patronization of a specific demographic called suburban Republican women. Patronization to the point of forcing AOC to fend for herself. Alone. In fact, even subliminally siding with Kasich to not ruffle suburban Republican housewife feathers. Conclusion? Podesta’s playbook never changed.
So remember this moderate Democrats. AOC will help you to stop the ship from sinking, but she is not going to abide by your navigation once repairs are complete enough for the crippled ship to limp back to port.
Post Trump, our campaign season will continue to begin and end with the primaries.
