DES MOINES, Iowa — A small group of Democratic National Committee members has privately begun gauging support for a plan to potentially weaken Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign and head off a brokered convention.
In conversations on the sidelines of a DNC executive committee meeting and in telephone calls and texts in recent days, about a half-dozen members have discussed the possibility of a policy reversal to ensure that so-called superdelegates can vote on the first ballot at the party’s national convention. Such a move would increase the influence of DNC members, members of Congress and other top party officials, who now must wait until the second ballot to have their say if the convention is contested.
“I do believe we should re-open the rules. I hear it from others as well,” one DNC member said in a text message last week to William Owen, a DNC member from Tennessee who does not support re-opening the rules.

Hi l0onix,
This is why I struggle with registering dem to vote in the NY primary for Bernie.
The DNC is an evil and cancer that I just cannot support in any form or fashion.

@thouartthat Stop being so silly, or I will say Ni! to you! Registering as a Democrat so you can vote for Bernie doesn’t taint your soul or anything. It doesn’t make you a bad person. In fact, by doing something you find distasteful in order to do your bit to fight for others as well as yourself makes you an honorable person.
Again, if you persist in this silliness, I will be force to send you the following:
It is better to vote for what you want and not get it than to vote for what you don't want and get it.--Eugene Debs
You can jail a revolutionary, but you can't jail the revolution.--Fred Hampton

Hi ob,
As I stated clearly and succinctly: “This is why I struggle with registering dem to vote in the NY primary for Bernie.”

@thouartthat Relax. It’s not really that much of a struggle and not much of a sacrifice, man. Voting for Bernie is clearly more important than being a registered Democrat on the official record. It’s not like you’re exploiting people for some capitalist bastard or anything.

I got an email from the DCCC 2 or 3 days ago. Their opening statement said something pertaining to standing up for others. I called BS when I clicked on the unsubscribe button. I told them they can go fuck themselves. Literately. I don’t know what we do to stand up to these scumbags. It makes my blood pressure go up when I see shit like this. They are vile people-no where near human.
I'm Snort McDork and I approved this message.

Funny how the Roman empire is repeating itself in front of our eyes. The elites are going to give nothing back to average people. Sadly I’m beginning to think this is going to be the road forward.
In America, “Liberty” means “Free to Die in Service of Capital” - Amfortas the hippie.
Most of today’s elites have the moral and social reasoning capacities of spoiled toddlers.
“People of privilege will always risk their complete destruction rather than surrender any material part of their advantage...but the privileged also feel that their privileges, however egregious they may seem to others, are a solemn, basic, God-right. The sensitivity of the poor to injustice is a trivial thing c

I suppose the good news is that the opposition is clearly panicking and likely to make mistakes. Even ones that might be successful in the short term. Doing this will show they both don’t care about Democracy (we already knew this) and secondly, clearly shows who they really serve.
