Woke up and DIDN’T get outta bed and saw the snow.

Fuck me, nature. Just eat shit and die. 34 whole degrees. High today 44. High Monday was 94.

Just turned over and said some really bad words, but decided to crawl outta bed. All those hours of hard work making the whole neighborhood smile with a classic presentation of flowers all this fall shot in the head and bleeding out. Someone I know is gonna be truly pissed off. She gonna be ready to kill something for this.

Then came out into the living room and LoE had a fire going in the fireplace. And hot coffee.

      Thank god for coffee.

      And LoE.

Still think Global Warming is a hoax Mr Orange Face? Fucking snow in the first week of September. Go fish.

PG& fucking E shut off our power again yesterday. In the interest of fire safety. Which translates to: We still have shitting infrastructure and we don’t want to get sued again… and thank the weather gods the Hennessey Fire wasn’t our fault.

At least temperature dropped to 89° from the 104.7° it was on Saturday and Sunday. I have lived here 36 years and it has never been that hot at my place.

        I forgot something @nvwino

        However bad it seems,

        there’s always worse.

Thankfully my forest fire days are way back in the past when we actually fought a couple on our small ranch. THAT was bad. If you need anything, you know to call.

Friend in western Nebraska reported 102 over the weekend and snow yesterday. Her garden is done. Crops are lost. 114 in my town Saturday. Never that hot before.

I’d expect snow in Nebraska long before here @fedup

I mean, shit. I might live in the mountains but for crying out loud. Snow in September?

That the only snow flurry that’s being dumped here today. He is visiting Cornerstone Ministreis (think Righteous Gemstones, HBO series, and you’ll have a full image).

I better continue to live here, cause I don’t know any other place that it would be livable… certainly not Florida anymore, and BOY, am I glad I’m out of San Antonio TX!

Hell, no... I'm not giving up...

That’s what San Antonio should be called @mrmickeysmom

My entire extended family is from there. And they can fucking stay there. Damn bunch of red neck retards.

Can you tell I’m not exactly in a good place this morning?

2 fires within a mile of my house yesterday and I’m in the suburbs. Powerlines have ignited 5 fires within 2 miles of my wife’s tree farm and the one this morning has a lot of equipment assigned to it. And then there’s the Powerline fire near Hagg Lake that’s a potential threat as well, but that seems to be under control this morning. So count your blessings.

Phil Knight’s house is threatened by the Cheleham Mountian fire about 8 miles south of me, probably has contract fire fighters at his disposal.

The bad news is that I had my cell phone next to my bed in case I had to help some friends evacuate along with my Mother in Laws horse last night.

        @punxutawney

Be alert. Get a fast pack ready if you need it.

I know the drill. Actually lived through and fought off two major forest fires when I was a kid.

But it would cost more to send than to buy a new one. 😁 @sffh

You might wind up with the Wino who came to dinner. I would never go home.

There was about a week of warning that this would be nasty.

I took in all my green tomatoes and peppers and try to ripen them

inside. The flowers were the least of my worry, since the Japanese

beetles ate most of them. The trees are suffering the most due to rapid

change in temperature. On the western part of the city over 2000

homes have no power. Look at the bright side:

You and I have more than enough time now for fall clean-up.

        Northern Indiana.

This is central New Mexico @bcalm

Well, we’re way the hell up altitude wise, but shit….. we usually see snow in the real high elevations but this is ridiculous.

I’m in San Antonio and it’s hotter than Satan’s nuts around here.  Been gardening for therapy and economic relief and ALL my plants have been on strike for over a month.  The temperature (~100+ for weeks) just doesn’t allow for the chemistry required.  I grew up in the valley doing farm labor and we sought shelter from 12-2 under the nearest tree whenever we went over 97 degrees.  This would occur 3 or 4 days out of the summer.  This is JUST FUCKING INSANE but the local news is about an Emily’s List judge dealing with Covid and jury trials.   What a bunch of unprocessed compost.

        “unprocessed compost”

I’d a just gone ahead and said shit. I say that all the time.

        Interesting moniker

        @sinmentirassinverguenza

Now for some really sad info. Although I’ve lived in the great southwest my entire life, I failed to learn Spanish. A little cholo maybe, but that’s about it.

Please tell me what your username means. I’m interested like there’s no tomorrow.

started driving a truck for a living I was on a coast to coast trip.  I took the southern route and some of the worst weather I had was in New Mexico to Flagstaff, but that was in April.  Yeah pretty strange to see snow in September in New Mexico.

And the moniker is what my mom would tell me and my brothers as she whipped our ass for lying to her.  “Ahora, dime otra vez … sin mentiras sin verguenza” which roughly means “tell me again … this time without lies you shameless idiot” and sometimes she would use the “sin mentiras Y sin verguenza” to denote the fact that we should never be ashamed to tell the truth.  She was either very big on us not lying or just loved to whip our legs with switches.  That truth I will never know.  For a little Mexican lady, she kept all her big boys scared of her.
