Ex-Illinois judge gets year in prison for mortgage fraud

Updated 5:48 pm CST, Thursday, December 20, 2018

CHICAGO (AP) — A former Illinois judge convicted of mortgage fraud has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison.

Former Cook County Circuit Judge Jessica O’Brien sobbed loudly in court Thursday before U.S. District Judge Thomas Durkin handed down the sentence.

O’Brien was convicted of fraudulently obtaining mortgages for Chicago investment properties and illegally pocketing more than $300,000 more than a decade before she became a judge in 2012. She resigned from the bench in September.

…still no headlines about banksters going to jail over fabricating documents to take peoples’ homes via foreclosure fraud…

So crimes politicians commit against US federal laws only have a five year statute of limitations… but conning a bank seems to have none, even ten years after the fact…

This clearly shows who’s really in charge!

Signed- someone 7-1/2 years into foreclosure proceedings on my home of now 31 yrs…

      Bernie’s vision? 2020!
