      https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/25/politics/pelosi-house-speaker-reelection-cnntv/index.html

“CNN)House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that she would seek another term as Speaker of the US House of Representatives if the Democrats keep their majority in the chamber after the November election.

“Yes I am,” Pelosi told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” when asked if she would seek the speakership again, and then added, “Let me also say we have to win the Senate.”
That’s what she does – run. Maybe she should stop running and try to accomplish something for the working class?

She will die in office, that is for sure. Probably at 110

Anyone expecting her to want to do anything for the majority of Americans is delusional.

She has a progressive opponent who has run a good campaign. There is no Republican on the ballot, though, which more than likely means that Republicans and center right “Democrats” will put her over the top and we’ll be forced to listen to her dithering and making excuses for why she isn’t doing anything for another two years.

Looks like those such as she would be content to retire after their first six or seven million and just enjoy their ill gotten gains.

I think Pelosi still has opposition, though he was hit hard by charges of sexual harrassment

      https://theintercept.com/2020/09/25/shahid-buttar-dsa-san-francisco-allegations/

The battle broke into the open in July, when two types of allegations combined to turn the longshot bid of Buttar, an activist and attorney who is challenging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, into a left-wing Rorschach test. The claims were unrelated, but were put forward together as part of the same case being made by critics of Buttar. The first was an allegation of sexual harassment in the early aughts by a former acquaintance, Elizabeth Croydon. The allegation remains uncorroborated, her credibility called into serious question. That allegation gave fuel to the second, unrelated charge that Buttar mistreated his staff, particularly the women. He has fiercely defended himself, denying the accusations and suggesting that they were racist and politically motivated, reflect a hostility to his campaigning strategy, and were the product of a smear campaign by his former staffers…  The allegations led to a string of Buttar’s former supporters backing away from him…

@coldmountaintrail His defense particularly on the second one being “I didn’t do it, but I am sorry if I made them feel that way” was weak.

I mean, I believe him, and looking at everything, they are uncorroborated as you mentioned.

The Establishment Democrats will destroy their accusers, painting them in the worst light possible, even if they have valid reasons. While defending their opponent’s detractors even with the flimsiest lies.

      It really is a shame.
