      The 17 year cicadas are about to emerge. If you have experienced this particular phenomenon, you know it’s quite noisy and messy. The cicadas “sing” like crazy, and they get crushed and leave squishy blabs on the sidewalks, on your car, etc. Nature is gross!

        Yes, these cicada recipes crop up every 17 years. Some people suggest they are not serious, that there is no way to make cicadas taste good.

      Very noisy.  When they are gone, the quiet is almost deafening…  Or perhaps we were deafened by the cicadas and have to heal and relearn how to hear again.

      But I don’t remember them being so messy…  Maybe we have fewer of them…
