    1. I agree that Trump's presidency and appointments have elicited, finally, an

activist response from Progressive Democrats.  A movement is growing from the Bernie campaign (hope this trend lasts), but I am very pessimistic about Trump’s appointments to his cabinet.  Obama’s were awful.  Trump’s are even worse.  This is especially true when it comes to American families.  DeVos for Education is a crisis in the making.  Bush’s changes to our education system were disastrous.  DeVos’s will be even worse.  Obama was just terrible, not disastrous and not yet a crisis.

I admire Glenn Greenwald and agree with him on many things, but he does not have children.  He may not be aware of the damage that is going to be done to a generation of Americans because of Trump’s stances on healthcare and education and the appointments he is making to his cabinet in just those areas.

And Trump’s Labor Department and EPA appointments, to say nothing of Sessions for anti-attorney-general?  How can Glenn Greenwald be at all optimistic.  Yes.  The appointments are motivating activism on the left, but before we elect a new president, Trump’s appointments will do irreparable harm to America.  This is a disaster.  Nothing less.

My children went to public schools.  They are doing very well.  Private schools are needed only for the spoiled brats of rich people.  American teachers are wonderful.  American parents ?????  Often not so good.

      2. Hillary's appointments would have only been marginally better than tRump's, too.

She would’ve still appointed Wall Street to Treasury, a pro-voucher advocate to Education and a business owner to Labor.

        3. Hers might even have been worse!

I just hope this ugly monster of a Trump man  wakes Americans up.

          4. Here's her short list. Pretty awful.

P.S. Whoever typed this out made a couple of spelling errors. Should be Sheryl Sandberg (Facebook) and Michele Flournoy.

            7. Heard more rumors about…

Victoria Nuland at State then any of those mentioned.  That would have been a perfect example of rising to one’s level of incompetence.

            8. "Likely an African American"

That, if anything, is fucking racist.

    6. I have to add.

We Bernie Democrats are not imploding.  WE ARE ORGANIZING.  900 citizens turned up to vote, one by one in the Eastside of Los Angeles, District 51 Democratic Party delegate election on Sunday.  We stood in line for well over an hour (we arrived shortly after 10 a.m. and did not leave until after noon) to get our ballots, vote and stuff the ballot in the ballot box.  That’s all there was to it.  Just come in and vote.  No speeches, nothing.

900 people.  This is a strongly pro-Bernie area and the majority of the delegates were on the pro-Bernie slate (doesn’t mean the others were pro-Hillary).  That’s 3 times the number that showed up for past elections of this kind.

This is the age of activism.  Trump and Glenn Greewald have a surprise in store.  California voted by far for Hillary, flawed candidate that she was, because on issues like immigration, education, healthcare and the environment, we are a progressive state, a progressive people, and we will hold that banner high.

    Sign me, Progressive and Proud.

We’re just getting started.  It’s going to be quite a ride.
