I just had a nephew show up at my house for ‘a place to crash’ – 35 year old addict (recovering?) who just got out of the hospital. WTF?

I can’t kick him out to the street. It’s mid 30s and raining.

I had such a good day going.

Shit indeed happens. Wish me good health!

Maybe you should put him in the cabin?

but the whole thing is so uncertain. Chances are he’s not infected.

Chances are, though I wear a silly grin, the moment you walk in to view….

Cabin might be the thing if he needs shelter for more than a day or 2. Seriously, he’s one fucked up guy. His father was an alcoholic and mean as a bastard when Kraig was growing up. It got passed along as usual. But Kraig graduated from booze to pills and heroin. Two suicide attempts in 10 years.

      Ah this is almost intolerable.

Air mattress, bucket? You’re good. Caveat. Put a time limit on it.  Seriously.

IF you have the cabin you were talking about don’t hesitate to put him out there as a “home of his own”. Do it now and let him see that he is responsible for it. You need to draw the line right away as to what you are willing to do. It is fair to you but also to him.
