The decision will come out soon, and the primitive states will enact all kinds of bizarre legislation to make abortion a death penalty offense. And people will hit the streets in protest, including several of my friends. But women can still get various pregnancy ending pills with little chance of Sheriff Billy Bob finding out. Many states will set up facilities to host “abortion vacations.” We might even see Princess Cruise Lines offering abortion tours to the Bahamas. The problem will be for poor women who can’t travel and have no access to a sympathetic doctor. I have a feeling several organizations will try to fill that gap, too. So access to abortion will be more difficult, but far from impossible.

More important is where they go next. Despite what we may think the constitution says, this (less than) Supreme Court is going to take a meat-axe to the right of privacy.

HIPPA will butt up against many state laws when investigators go looking for evidence of an abortion. They’re already hassling women who have miscarriages.

Not to mention that the “Christian” conservatives on the court and their allies in Congress have every intention of creating a US version of Christian Sharia Law here.

That doesn’t lessen the impact of losing the right to access safe medical care.
There’s an American couple in Malta right now (edit: they apparently have made it to Spain: https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2022/jun/23/us-woman-denied-abortion-in-malta-flies-to-spain-for-termination-andrea-prudente) discovering just how draconian abortion bans are – they have plenty of money, but this is a medical emergency happening in a country with a complete ban. Same situation as Savita Halappanavar, who died of sepsis in 2012 after Ireland refused to surgically intervene to remove the fetus she was miscarrying.

For example, to gather evidence of evading the law by women getting an abortion somewhere, anywhere, that will be the excuse to snoop on everyone’s e-mails, social media, web sites visited, etc. Probably even examining the content of any packages you receive. This is more than just controlling women’s sex organs, it is about total control of all of us.
We are an arrogant species, believing our fantasy based "facts" are better than the other person's fake facts.
If Row vs. Wade is overturned, women could lose the right to not get pregnant in 26 states.
The Republicans are four year olds. The Democrats are six year olds. There are no grownups.
Truth is not what you want it to be; it is what it is, and you must bend to its power or live a lie.

It’s a good indication that more cases will be evaluated completely independently, and previous decisions no longer matter.

…and the citizens of this country. Most are totally unfit in temperament, morality, and intelligence.

That the right to abortion had been codified in alternate ways, such that if the case were ever overturned (‘and that will NEVER happen!’), it wouldn’t matter.
Well, it is going to be overturned. Suddenly, it matters…?
Either it’s important, or it’s not important.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave.
