I get the impression that Penn is kind of a contentious person himself, also, I doubt he does his homework.

So is he in effect saying Zelensky is still an actor?

But Zelensky is just a comedian with a gun being held to his head, so there’s that.

On every level. Is the war over? Since when does Zelensky have time to do a photo op with a Tinseltown celebrity…? And it’s Sean Penn’s Oscar award, not Aladdin’s Lamp. Or is Penn awarding Zelensky an Oscar for best dramatic performance … er, no, Best Performance in a T-Shirt?

As to Penn, he’s a strange one, but I’ve often thought his heart is in the right place.

I hear that they are going for quite cheap on the Ukranian open black market these days.

The New York Post reported Penn and Madonna were on their way home Friday night from a restaurant when the encountered several photographers waiting for them in front of their apartment. Penn reportedly spat at one lensman.

The man spat back.

‘That’s it,’ the Post quoted Penn. He hit Galella in the face with a plastic shopping bag and the photographer stumbled into the building courtyard.

‘That’s it, now you’re on private property; you’re dead,’ Penn said. He spat at Galella, then started punching him, the Post said.

You know, supporting the usual stuff like ending wars in various parts of the planet. Supporting workers rights.  Wonder what happened to him between the time I met him at Howard Dean’s fund raiser many years ago, and now?
