We have been having high winds last night and this morning. This guy was driving his truck across the bridge at Deception Pass when the wind tipped it onto the bridge railing. This bridge is about 200 feet above the water. I will try to find a photo.

I’ve also seen semis blown over onto their side on Interstate 90, near Ellensburg in central Washington, so it does happen!

Resulting in lots of power outages.
Apparently slept thru it all. Had no idea until seeing lots of tree branches down while walking dogs. Nice to finally see the sun anyway.

I didn’t even like driving over that bridge in good weather. Or standing on it.

I used to be a rock climber. Now I have to stand back from the edge or I get woozy. Times change. I’s fun to stand on the bridge and watch the tidal currents rip through the gap. I forget the max speed, but I think it’s around 13 mph. Creates big boils and eddies. Very cool.

I and one of my siblings dared each other to walk across years ago. I couldn’t finish.
