    If We're going to have a revolution….

….we really need be in the streets every single day-nationally. As in the 60’s, the colleges and universities were a big part of that effort to end the war. The schools need to be in this too. Now we have to fight a fascist. The gloves need to come off. Remember: Bernie should be the President. But we got f’d. Time to f*** em right back. If we don’t get in the streets, we will see that oligarchy Bernie talked so much about. Pisses me off that the Dems are going along with this fascist.

        2. Suits n ties w/baby strollers en mass…. It's a new day

As I understand Federalism the incubator of innovative ideas begins at the community level… “all politics are local”… The theater of change is welcomed by the media when they can display violence in association with the martialistic tendencies of youth…. They will not however make much of local initiatives unless a uniformity of concensus is established across a large swath of citizenry all pointing in the same direction on the same subject…. I believe the answer to neutering the Fascist tilt in our nation is to begin at the city council meetings during new topic discussion…If this were to be coordinated across the board within a single months time frame as opposed to random grievances splintering off ad infinitium….My personal belief is the weakest point in the Republican revolution is their dependence/silence/assistance  wrt Russia…. 4. I'm in agreement with you however,

as the saying goes, “there are more of us than there are of them”… I see a 2fer wrt challenging both the immediacy of Trump here and now but more importantly placing an insurmountable obstacle wrt the mid-term elections that the Republicans will not be able to buy there way out of…. I believe the best way to honor Sen.Sanders efforts is to move forward within the framework that he has spent the better part of his life within… In my opinion that begins with assuring Progressive voices are heard on All local levels in order to impact the mid-term…Same page same time different locations across the country… The Republicans collusion(my opinion) wrt Russian assistance in the recent farce of an election should be on the minds of all citizens… I believe this is the issue that they cannot down-play to there base as well as the fence sitters… Best wishes

                8. I believe that "realpolitik" is very much alive and well globally…

While the littany of happenstance associated with the “players” involved continues to cascade I’m reminded of PNACs “players” and their road map to the NWO… By hook or crook they achieved their stated desires and now the middle east is aflame….The current zealotry under the guise of democracy in my opinion would certainly “collude” with the richest leader on the planet to further expand a global elites wet dream as in shower me with oil and weapons oh don’t forget the urine…

                  10. I'm with you if what you're saying boils down to: they all collude

permanent war this time, trump program next time, etc.

On the bright side such as it is, I absolutely believe that the Putin/Trump issue can snowball into a momentum that the Republican party cannot contain…It reads like a Tom Clancy novel… Best wishes

                      16. Putin/Trump WHAT?

The only thing that happened to Hillary during this election is that she played such a Bully to Bernie and his supporters that many Bernie supporters voted Jill or stayed home or voted for Trump. And she thought she could steal it but she couldn’t.

As a very active voting activist back in 2004, I will mention this much: The Dem Party was warned back then to clean up the hackable voting machinery, to make sure the gerrymandering efforts were stopped, and that in 2005: “The time is now to ditch the Electoral College System.” We activists could not understand why the Democratic Party  leaders treated all these things like they were conspiracy theories. Only several years later did I realize that the Dems thought they benefited from these things also. I mean, look at how the CitizensOversight.org crowd PROVED in  January 2017 in court that the Dem Party controlled guy, Vu, down in San Diego flipped the Primary Results away from Bernie over to Hillary.

                        17. can you link the citizens oversight thing? when i search i get a random

assortment of things that don’t seem to be connected to each other except by the name, eg a bunch of local ‘citizens oversight’ committees.  what they seem to have in common is they are appointees of the institution they are tasked with ‘overseeing’.  seems like another level of bullshit to me on first glance.

                        example:
The Citizen Oversight Panel (COP) was created in 1997 to independently monitor Sound Transit and make sure it meets its commitment to voters – build and operate a regional bus, light rail and commuter rail transit system.

COP members are appointed by the Sound Transit Board and are tasked with asking hard questions, reviewing details and reporting findings back to the Board…

                        http://www.soundtransit.org/About-Sound-Transit/Accountability/Citizen-Oversight-Panel-COP

Not seeing the independence here: more like another stepping stone for careerists

At that point, about the second mention under the second header (sort of the middle of the page) you can click on an icon labeled something about Bernie recount.

        26. And the draft made war resistance very personal and immediate.

We all knew people who were being drafted, avoiding the draft or becoming conscientious objectors. Although I am glad the draft is gone, what we have now may be worse – a poverty draft. The young people today are already overburdened with just surviving.

      6. I guess most people are too busy and too tired for a revolution

they work so hard and then they come home, eat, watch TV and sleep and then the cycle starts again.  When the internet is taken away and TV shows taken off they may wake up.

The more that social democracy develops, grows, and becomes stronger, the more the enlightened masses of workers will take their own destinies, the leadership of their movement, and the determination of its direction into their own hands. Rosa Luxemburg.

      13. sounds good, yet impractical and poor timing.

protests that don’t RESIST the system, such as shutting it down through strikes or disrupting operations, just end up being ignored — even if they get a media blurb at all.

second, generic disaffection is a poor protest slogan. focus, focus, focus!

third, there is WAY more work to be done elsewhere. there’s an alternative to party machinery to develop. there’s economic empowerment of under served communities. there’s divestment from sectors profiting from our mutual suffering…

you want to attract attention when you are ready to strike and have a powerbase to make power come to the table to negotiate. we have NONE of that now.

want to change the world? buy solar, help make oil worth less each day. if you own your own home/roof, buy a $5k+ system and try to eliminate your bill. if you have even more money, buy an electric car and charge it through your system. if you rent, on a budget, but have sun access, buy a $200+ personal system and trim your monthly bills.

with your extra funds, get another family or friend off of Big Energy, Big Oil. boom, stealth revolution!

      21. This Thursday over 100 businesses remained closed in Boise, ID to protest

Trump’s immigration policy. And to show the rest of Boise what it would be like if immigrants weren’t at work because they were not allowed to immigrate to America anymore. Most of the businesses are owned/operated by minorities, people who may not have been allowed to immigrate here under Trump’s new restrictive immigration policy.

The protest not only involved the day-long closure of over 100 local businesses, but the employees and their relatives refused to spend any money for 1 day to demonstrate just how much they contribute to the economy right here in our community.

On the very same day, 1000s of high school students skipped school in order to attend a protest rally held on the steps of the state’s capitol building in downtown Boise to protest the appointment of Betsy Devos to Secretary of Education, pointing out the need for quality education for our children for the future of our country.

          23. The protest was called "A Day Without Immigrants"

If you do a Google search for “day without immigrants”, protests like this took place all over the country.

I didn’t know that we weren’t supposed to spend any money on that day, though. I think I bought a pack of cigarettes and a cup of coffee.

I always fuck these things up because I don’t read all the memos.
