I remember him as a good guy from when Ralph Nader ran as a Green Party candidate, so Hawkins is someone who doesn’t make me hold my nose when I vote for him. Sure, there is the possibility that Hawkins could spoil it for Biden, but so what? If Biden blows the huge lead he has right now… well, let’s just cite what Nader said about Gore in 2000. “If Al Gore can’t beat the bumbling Texas governor with the terrible record, he ought to go back to Tennessee.” Of course Democrats don’t share that view because they got stung in 2016, when they nominated Hillary Clinton, a candidate who looked great on paper, but lost to the worst Republican candidate since Goldwater. No matter how bad the Republican nominee, the Democrats can find  way to lose. And they would blame Howie Hawkins, just as they blame Ralph Nader and Bernie Sanders. Again, so what? Why should we feel guilty when registered Democrats turn quisling and vote Republican? How will that be Hawkins’ fault? Joe Biden is going to win or lose according to his own effort, and I’m done with feeling guilty about not voting for the lesser evil.

I believe Ventura would ensure a much much bigger turn-out, but it is what it is.  Issues and records prevent me from voting red or blue.

Yes I know the Greens can’t win.  If anyone thinks that is the point, then they are either stupidly oblivious or, um, stupidly oblivious.  Or if merely “winning” is their spiel, then they are wasting my time.  I don’t think my one little vote will send a statement or whatever, it is just that I am done with lesser evil.  Especially when I believe it is almost a tie, with Biden being a bit worse due to Vichy Dem organization, love of inflicting austerity and imprisonment, and war.  So I am not gonna vote for that.

Biden considered Buttigieg the Democratic Party’s future.

Recent analysis from Kim Iverson has Kamala as erstwhile  figure head after Biden ‘fades’  and who would be Clinton’s puppet and Clinton would bring in all of the pro-war / (neo-con holdovers from the Bush Administration) Obama Administration hawks (wars in Syria, Libya, Ukraine coup, labeling Maduro as terrorist)….This is precisely why I think Biden is worse than Trump – because (despite the rise of progressives within the Democratic Party – at the end of the day they’re outliers) this Clinton wing would be come more entrenched….Despite Trump’s awfulness, for me it’s better to have not a third party but a genuine opposition party…and the Democratic Party of Clinton, Maggie Hassan, Jeanne Shaheen with the entitled brats (Joe Kennedy and Chelsea Clinton +++) and Mayor Pete waiting in the wings is not now and never will be an opposition party.

Joseph Kishore of SEP may also be a good candidate.   I am torn between him and Hawkins.

@salemcourt Hell, the SEP has never been on the ballot in Ohio and this year the Greens aren’t so far, so I may not even vote for President.

Thanks for reminding me to change back to Green on registration. I had to go Democrat for the closed primary in PA.

Hell, no... I'm not giving up...

I’ll take Dario over Howie any day, but 2020 is the golden opportunity for someone like Jesse to enter in July and actually win POTUS.

Sign the petition to draft Jesse #Ventura2020

Write him in for the WA primary
