Interesting — Trump falsely claims he won election as millions of votes remain uncounted

President Trump addressed the nation from the White House after 2 a.m. while the outcome of the election remained unclear, claiming victories in states that have not yet been decided and portraying the orderly counting of millions of legally cast votes as an illegitimate effort to steal the election.
The president pointed to his projected wins in Florida and Texas — although he falsely said nobody had projected those states — and claimed he’d won Georgia even as ballots are still being counted in some of that state’s largest counties. The president also claimed victory in North Carolina, which CBS News estimates is a toss-up… (and claimed PA too)
Mr. Trump claimed that “we would be going to the Supreme Court,” although it’s unclear what he meant.
Millions of Americans’ votes that were rightfully cast will continue to be counted, and as CBS News has reported before, taking longer to count the large number of mail-in ballots is not an indication of fraud.

Only thing I can think of he’s upset about is Philly who closed shop for the night. The conspiracy theorists on the right are going wild after that. And the GOP has been crying about Philly all day.

Says he’s won all these states and suddenly “they knew they couldn’t win, so they said ‘lets go to court'”
wtf is he talking about. seems he wants to stop the count.
“this is a fraud on the american public…an embarrassment… so our goal now is to ensure the integrity…so we’ll be going to the SC…we don’t want them to find any ballots at 4:oo in the morning… we have already won this…”
pence: we are on the road to victory and we will make america great again

I’d have to listen again but I think he was claiming he may have won arizona too or could still win it
We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!

I think it’s just Trump being Trump and not saying the right words. I think he means that the votes shouldnt be cast anymore. The GOP has sued PA 3 times now I think concerning ballots that show up after election day. He doesn’t want them to keep counting ballots that suddenly turn up. The Supreme Court hasn’t really given a definitive answer. Their order was just that ballots received after election day be put in a separate pile. And those ballots will be heavily contested.

Once again, the President is lying to the American people and acting like a would-be despot.

Biden’s Knockout Punches
(1) If Biden holds serve in Michigan, Pennsylvania & Wisconsin, it’s over.
(2) If Georgia & North Carolina go blue, it’s over.
(3) Arizona & Nevada can knock Trump out, too.

No, Trump has not already won the election, and it is deeply irresponsible for him to say he has.

What do you mean “ballots that suddenly turn up”?
As I understand it, PA already has all those ballots & counts them after the in-person.
Where are they suddenly going to ‘turn up’ from?
Dump is saying some election officials in PA are going to create new marked ballots is your take? Or who’s gonna do that?
Seems I may be wrong: looks like PA SC decision was:
On Sept. 17, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued an order extending the mail-in ballot receipt deadline and authorizing the use of drop boxes for returning mail-in ballots in the general election. Mail-in ballots postmarked on or before Nov. 3, and ballots lacking any indication they were sent after this date, would be accepted if received by 5 p.m. on Nov. 6.
Under our Extraordinary Jurisdiction, this Court can and should act to extend the received-by deadline for mail-in ballots to prevent the disenfranchisement of voters. … We additionally conclude that voters’ rights are better protected by addressing the impending crisis at this point in the election cycle on a statewide basis rather than allowing the chaos to brew, creating voter confusion regarding whether extensions will be granted, for how long, and in what counties.
So Dump is saying PA officials will commit fraud.

I’ve been under the impression that PA can accept mail ballots after election day and still count them. And that’s what they’ve been suing PA about in the Supreme Court. They think that the state will fill in a bunch of ballots after election day. That’s their conspiracy theory for fraud.
Maybe something changed with that where they aren’t accepting ballots now. I don’t know.

“I’ve been under the impression that PA can accept mail ballots after election day and still count them.”
— according to the addition i made above, by court order, they can accept them until the 6th.
“Mail-in ballots postmarked on or before Nov. 3, and ballots lacking any indication they were sent after this date, would be accepted if received by 5 p.m. on Nov. 6.”

Not sure why they’re holding back, but assuming they’re in the Biden column, that gives Joe 238 electoral votes to Cheeto’s 213
Joe needs 26 more votes to get to the magic number of 270. Cheeto needs 57.
Here are the states still “up for grabs”, with their EV numbers:
Wisconsin – 10
Michigan – 16
Pennsylvania – 20
North Carolina – 15
Georgia – 16
Biden could win with any two of those 5 (excepting the combo of Wisconsin & NC which would leave him 1 vote short) while Cheeto would need to win 4 out of the 5.
Ordinarily I wouldn’t even take the idea of a “democratic” candidate winning GA seriously, but the NY times still has Biden with a 64% chance of winning that state, so those 16 points might well make up a big chunk of the numbers he needs to win. Combine that with any one of the northern states that used to ALWAYS go “blue” and it’s game over.
It may be too late and a Devil might be a little buzzed to really dwell on the mathematics, but the numbers seem to favor Sleepy Joe at present.

Going around twitter, seeing lots of ‘conspiracy theories’ about it:
–There’s still 20% left of the vote there to count & only around 4% left in PA, why did they declare biden winner in az but hold off declaring PA for trump?
–IN AZ poll officials forced voters to use sharpies and wouldn’t let them use pens, so the sharpie-marked ballots didn’t get read.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I didn’t think it mattered who the news orgs declared won, the count didn’t stop and if the results came out different they’d redeclare the winner — seems like i remember it happening that way in some other elections (‘Dewey defeats Truman’ being the famous example, but seems like i remember it happening with tv elections too)
Maybe the US public, including myself, needs a refresher course on elections
