      Washington Post: henryolsenEPPC
      2022 Midterms Forecast

      SENATE
      Republicans — 54
      Democrats — 46

✅ GOP Pick Ups: AZ, GA, NV and NH

      HOUSE
      Republicans — 246
      Democrats — 189

Since I don’t subscribe to the Washington Post, I can’t confirm that it’s actually from exit polls —

But my prediction is that the republicans sweep the elections.

Has nothing to do with healthcare, jobs, cancelling student debt, standing up for working class,  trying to solve homeless problem, or war spending.

And on this note, is “ED” voters with “election dysfunction” who have to take a pill to vote or something?

      Just wondering.

My guesses for new majorities for a 2022 pickup-winning Republican Party:

      • U.S. House: 240 seats

      • U.S. Senate: 52 seats (The GOP will all hold all their current 50 seats, including Pennsylvania with Mehmet Oz, and win pickups with Nevada and Georgia)

For U.S. Governors, the Republicans enter this year’s midterm elections with 28. They will finish with 30. The Democrats will win pickups with Massachusetts and Maryland. The Republicans will counter-flip Wisconsin, Oregon, Kansas, and Nevada.

      Conclusion:

I know some will look forward to post-election narratives, which include Democrats claiming they went too far to The Left, but I will find it a relief, come January 2023, knowing they no longer control either house of Congress.

You are all the same. There is nothing worse than people who see running for office as a career move and break into song and dance to change the subject when you ask them how they feel about fracking.

This is not going to be resolved tonight, I’m sure, but I’m not going to do anything more than what I’ve been doing while they can piss all over themselves in the aftermath.

Hell, no... I'm not giving up...

Whereas we’re the joke of the nation for our politicians, and the people who continue to keep them in power. Conservatives like to say that they’re “tough on crime” yet kept Ken Paxton in office, despite all of the crime he’s committed, and while in office at that. Crazy-man Dan Patrick is still in place, but he’s such a strong born-again crazy that I expect that alone is the reason he got re-elected.

While watching Katie Halper, Aaron Mate, and Matt Taibbi talk about it all, when they got to Texas, Matt said that Beto has raised more money than any other person in his several campaigns just to lose 😆

The people-to-cake ratio is too high.

Hassan easily won in New Hampshire, so the polls were completely off in the Republican’s favor there. It looks like Republicans will take Nevada, Georgia is headed to yet another runoff, the R should win Wisconsin, the D in Arizona…that means we won’t know if the Senate is 50-50 or 51-49 R until Georgia has its runoff in December.

My first thought is how conveniently dramatic.

…is where I go to get sandbags. So I drove by to pick some up. Then I realized it was election day. I had to stop and go on the internet via my crappy phone connection to find the sand bag location. Finally, found out it was on the same street as the polling place about a half mile or so down the road. Someone there who appeared to working with some volunteers was very kind to offer me 10 sandbags they had already filled for old folks or handicapped who needed assistance. I thought my back would break as two days earlier I had taken the sand bags down at my home, unwisely as it turns out, and spent the day before putting them back. These ten sand bags were for the sliding glass doors behind my refugee apartment where the maintenance man was ambiguous as to whether my apartment had taken in any water or not during the Sep 29 floods three weeks before I moved in. He advised sandbagging.

As I drove past the polling place I realized that I was totally indifferent to voting.

Apparently Americans are mostly happy with the way things are, and don’t care about people living on the streets in tents and the increased risk of nuclear war under the Biden administration.

      Or they are oblivious.

Back to the same old crap it appears.

Despite running on repairing woman’s abortion rights, my guess is they’ll get around to repairing those rights right after they try impeaching Trump….. a few more times.

That’s just counting the races where Republicans are ahead with most of the vote in, but not called, in New York, California, and Colorado. Yeah, Boebert’s gonna win in Colorado. Just remember the Democrat is the same type of slime who called progressives stupid morons.

The Democrats will almost certainly retain control of the Senate. Chances are they’ll take Arizona, and they’ll win the runoff in Georgia more than likely. If they lose Nevada, it’ll be 50-50 again.

Nothing fundamentally changed. Biden promise kept! Rejoice in mediocrity, Dems.

The Democrats held on to their seats in states where it was in danger. Mostly. I don’t know if that’s the cause, but it probably had something to do with it.

Oh, in Ohio nobody’s terribly worried. All they have to do is get abortion rights on the ballot and it will pass.
