I guess those folks figure that, unlike Bernie, Bloomberg’s a DEMOCRAT!
Bwahahaha! I think the coronavirus has infiltrated parts of the intertubes.

I would expect no less from them. In fact I expect Hillary to be his running mate.

Hi l0onix,
Yep – and it will guarantee this voter casts a third-party vote should B/H be the Vichy Dem ticket.

Hi elias,
What more would one expect from a cesspool of DNC DCCC DSCC conformity. Lackeys are and will always be lackeys.

Sure there are a few democrats left there, but very few. That purge they had a few years ago got rid almost all the Bernie supporters. So now they just sit around and post anti Bernie shit, while trying to convince anyone that might visit the site that this is the view of the Democratic party.

..the party officials as well as the rank and file, who somewhere along the line turned into absolutely mindless conformists.
Fortunately, there are more independent voters now.

All you have to do is look at the percentages on who they are going to vote for. The stupidity shines proudly over there.
19% Warren
14% Biden
11% Bernie
6% Buttegieg
43% undecided (Really?)
How close is that to either of the first two elections? NOT EVEN!!! Yep, the stupidity is pretty outstanding.
I only go there about once a week or so, to get a good laugh at how their twisted little minds work?
I will be a Bernie supporter FOREVER. This whole thing with Bernie and his people oriented policies were meant to be introduced in this day and age!! Many have tried and failed in the past. Succeeding was almost impossible. It's kind of a gimme in today's corrupt 2 party system that you have to work within. Just look how things have changed in the past 8 years from Bernie's policies. It was meant to be. Wait it out. Change will come. Thank you Bernie for all you've done. You are a truly amazing person.

Well in fairness, you have to go into your profile and set your favorite candidate… i imagine 43% of hte people there just can’t be bothered to do that. To say nothing of the bots.

And has unleashed the sock puppet army to support the Oligarch.
Really, after requiring unconditional support for people like Manchin, this isn’t much of a step further for that place.

SVers are not real liberals. They have no principles. They are just anti-Republicans who hitch their wagon based on nothing else but electability. They would support a 100% conservative as long as they have a “D” after their name.
Nothing but party loyalists over there no matter what the party becomes.
And anyone who thinks Bloomberg is electable is delusional.

It’s a political philosophy that revolves around preserving the adherent’s status and prestige. it doesn’t HAVE ideals or standards or beliefs, beyond “not missing brunch.”
These people see a rich man with a name they recognize, and they don’t give a fuck what he’s about, they just want to star-fuck. That’s a liberal.

SV went from underground to Billionaire’s Base in a relatively short period of time. Believe it or not, there were some great progressive thinkers, writers, and dedicated activists there…even one activist, bless you, my brother, who actually engaged in an extended hunger strike to protest fracking, before the paid trolls and their cult of clueless acolytes transformed it into the Totalitarian Idiocratic Dictatorship of Chuckles the Sensible Woodchuck. As time went on, the group of what were/are in reality Moderate Republican free market imperialist bullies, took the place over, and created a vicious, organized “swarm” that was always on patrol, ready to pounce on progressives and progressive ideas, as soon as they appeared on the screen.
JPR is named for Jackpine Radical, RIP, one of the great progressives mentioned in the above paragraph above.
SV, which was once underground is now radical establishment status quo, the MIC loving Billionaire’s Base.
Beware of anything that smacks of RW propaganda, direct, or subtle. The RW owns and controls the “Center” which is the Third Way New Democrat Right Wing, and the Right Wing, and everything RW is the province of the plutocrats. “Long experience hath shewn” that the plutarchs have all the money in the world to finance talent to spew anti-democratic, pro-plutarch, RW propaganda everywhere.

I was targeted by the swarm because of something I had posted some two years before. They do keep track of those that go outside their lines.
There was (still is?) another website back then, where the swarm would go to ‘discuss” the current “problem” poster/s.We are an arrogant species, believing our fantasy based "facts" are better than the other person's fake facts.
If you are wrong, it will be because you are not cynical enough.

And we knew that from day one. “#MeToo” was only important if pointed at a Republican. Al Franken is fine. Anthony Weiner is fine. Bill Clinton is fine. Did Jeffrey Epstein donate to the DNC? he’s fine, I’m sure.

That, and hatred of progressives and progressive programs, although they dare to call themselves progressives, which is, of course, just more bullshit.

The irony is palpable. The site once used as refuge from Bush, is now solidly behind the billionaire candidate that enthusiastically endorsed Bush.
The evolution is complete. SV is now a radical right leaning site because it is a site dedicated to oligarchy and not for the working class. The less perceptive think they are main stream but only because corporate media is telling them so. The same media that lied to them about Hillary being a lock. The same media that lied to them about Biden being the front runner. Regardless, the identity politics crowd is diving in head first with a “stop and frisk”, misogynist candidate. A candidate that can’t win is being supported by the people that repeatedly scold us about electability. Credibility = zero. No one will ever take them, or their message serious again.

The worst of the worst. A cesspool infiltrated and infested by Conservative Cave trolls, DNC astroturfers, David Brock shills and plants, and the most reactionary right-wingers in the party. Whoever is left of civility prone progressives and leftists are simply tolerated as left hood ornaments to produce the effect of “fair and balanced” commentary.

@bhaywood That’s a new one on me, but I haven’t posted there since 2009. That does make this sickening Better Bloomberg Than Bernie theme Over There more understandable, though.
I actually posted on CC for awhile, as a socialist. The admin at the time let me because I’m a veteran. People didn’t want to have any kind of intelligent debate though, so after awhile I split, never to return. This was, oh, 7 or 8 years ago.

Yep…know a few other leftists that dipped a tow in there to tangle with em. I posted at that other Skinner cesspool Discussionist for a while before it got completely overrun by the Cavers. Know their antics well and you’re right that you really can’t reach them. Although some are a bit less fascist than the Brock and DNC ratfuckers. They’re embedded at the underground. It’s a game for them. They got a whole section dedicated to their antics. It wouldn’t surprise me if Solich and Skinner have a deal for getting hits and sharing the dough.
That’s the least of it though. The place is overrun by the DNC and party functionary apparatus. The talking points and methods of attack are coordinated. It’s now nothing more than an astroturf operation and propaganda arm of the neoliberal right-wing of the party. Multiple accounts, paid shills, and dozens of freshly minted reactionary sock puppets with the scripted talking points attacking Sanders and the left enter the fray daily.
I understand the fuck it who cares argument but I don’t agree with it. As much as we would like to believe differently…the site still reaches an enormous amount of new to political scene ears on the net daily and it ain’t good for the left. They are an online headquarters of reactionary propaganda. The sooner they are out of business the better.

That’s an option of course but I would tend to disagree with ignoring it. What goes on there is a microcosm of the centers of power on every level and in every community. The voices of the powerless are not heard. The silencing, the marginalization, and the crushing of all dissent of those speaking for the powerless and struggling. What you see there are the jackboots and the lackeys of the ruling class in full glory. It’s an obligation to fight back against that in every way possible.

So let me see if I have this right….
Donald Trump is a right wing racist, sexist, billionaire asshole from NYC.
Michael Bloomberg is a right wing racist, sexist, billionaire asshole from NYC.
Conclusion: Bloomberg would make a better President.
Seems like the Brockbots need a firmware update.

The truth is, most of them, the neoliberal swarm, anyway, are doing quite well under Trump, thank you very much. Their stock portfolios are simply amazing, I’m sure. Unlike myself, they don’t dream of the Dow Jones dropping 10,000 points in a day.

For the longest time I’ve been saying that the only problem most Democrats have with Donald Trump is that he’s a republican; that if he swapped parties, they’d fall right in line.
I meant it mostly as slightly over-the-top snark.
But here comes Michael Bloomberg, a violent racist republican-turned-Democrat with 40 sexual harassment suits settled out of court, to prove me completely right.
