      @elias39

      I’ve got a pond and a line of trees between me and the pyros. I hope it’s enough protection from anything airborne. 🙁

      The closest idiots are shooting rockets off in the street 20 feet away from four 40 foot tall potential torches.

      The neighborhood sounds like a reenactment of the Anglo-Mysore War.

      If I had a pack of rabid dogs, I would set them loose right now.

      You wouldn’t take away their freedoms, would you?

      I would like to remind you that U.S. health insurance companies do not contribute anything to health care. They are only a PARASITIC middle man receiving an undeserved cut of "FREE MONEY".

      They must have set sort of record for fireworks in my little burg last night. Must have been Trump supporters demonstrating their love for a great America.

      I have to check outside the house when it’s light.  I kept hearing what sounded like pings against the house last night.  My neighbors across the street were setting off fireworks.

      Probably because there were no legal ones in the area and people are just tired of being cooped up, locked down, and stressed out. So we had a nice grilling with the family and a couple of my stepdaughter’s coworkers, ate the bacon cheeseburgers and hot dogs, consumed beer, smoked various things, sat around the fire pit and enjoyed the local show.

      We only saw a few big ones that went up over the trees, but it was fun listening to the joyful cacophony of gunpowder exploding in what may as well have been surround-sound.

      It wasn’t like we were ever in any danger from the neighbors. It’s too moist here to worry about things catching on fire, and if someone burns down their own house, it’s not going to spread to any of the neighbors’ around here. We figured we may as well enjoy the fireworks since they were going to happen anyway, so we did.

      Oh, and this is a neighborhood that’s at least 50% black, and it was mainly black people on my street shooting off fireworks, and this precinct voted like 90% against Trump, so don’t think it was MAGA people, because it wasn’t.
