He went on about Ted and Mary Kellner today with the Milwaukee Bucks. Here’s a bit on Ted Kellner from 2016:
The Kellners shelled out a total of more than $915,000 between January 2006 and June 2016 to federal candidates, committees and groups. In addition to Kellner’s contribution to Unintimidated PAC to support Walker’s presidential run, the other top five federal recipients of contributions from the Kellners were:
- The Republican National Committee, which supports GOP presidential and congressional candidates, received about $310,000;
- Right to Rise USA, a super PAC created by Republican Jeb Bush to support his failed 2016 GOP presidential bid, received $150,000;
- 2012 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney received $90,000;
- Republican Governors Association (RGA), which raises and spends millions of dollars each year through its 527 group to help elect GOP governors across the country, received about $91,800.
And here’s what he had to say about it at the White House, from the White House at https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2021/11/08/remarks-by-president-biden-honoring-the-2021-nba-champion-milwaukee-bucks/ :
And to two dear, dear friends, Ted and Mary Kellner — you won’t believe it, but they’re both responsible for my being here. Not a joke.
In ninete- — excuse the point of personal privilege, as we used to say in the Senate. In 1972, I was a 29-year-old kid who decided I was going to run the United States Senate. I wasn’t old enough. You had to be 30 to be a senator, for real. When I got elected, I had to wait 17 days to be eligible. And — and right at the very end, my sister managed my campaign and my brother raised the money. He was 25 and my sister was — she used to be 3 years younger; she’s now 20 years younger. (Laughter.)
But at any rate, and we were doing well. We were catching up. No one expected us to have any shot at all. And we — everything was moving. We’re actually catching up after being down 56 to 28 at one point. And we were running out of money. And all of a sudden, I got a phone call on Tuesday saying that we don’t have any money to keep any of our ads on TV or the radio.
And so, I didn’t know what to do. And I got a call from a guy named Ted Kellner and four other people. And they said, “Come on out to Greenville. We want to help you out.” They helped me out; they financed the end of my campaign. They were my friends before, and I’m indebted to them now. Well, thank you both, Ted and Mary. Thank you. (Applause.) Now that I’ve ruined your reputation. (Laughter.)

Republicans are Joe’s peeps!
All governments lie to their citizen's, but only Americans believe theirs.
