Probably inadvertently more instructive than they would have liked.

I likely show up on several voter lists as “leans Democratic” at the very least. I show up on the donor lists of my Rep to congress and state level candidates. So the very soft spoken Karen did the old affirmation mining trick of “you’re gonna give Joe your undying devotion, right?” (I may have read too much into her question). She seemed a bit taken back as I answered “not necessarily”.

I asked that other than not being trump, what was Joe offering. She responded with a “What?”. So I repeated my question a bit firmer to make sure she could hear me and could comprehend my question. I was deemed “hostile” and she tried to disengage. I really want to have a reason to vote for something this cycle so I pressed her to stay. She reluctantly agreed. She listed off things that JB favored, but couldn’t/wouldn’t explain what form of action said favors would take. On the topic of Education, she started with Trump’s SoE was not very good. I said that Betsy D has spent her life moving money from public education to private schools. The Karen immediately defensed up like a surprised Puffer fish. She bailed very soon after.

I do not know if my demands for more than the most basic of current D marketing, my modest awareness of the actuality of the American political process, or the disdain in my voice for private schooling triggered her; nor do I really care. I do know I took far too much pleasure in forcing her out of her planned script (more an indictment of my personality than my environment).

I do hope that the phone call we shared, plays on her mind to the same extent it has played on mine. I am here doing this as a result. I really believe that demands for more topic depth than a sound byte are what should be the norm in negotiations for a vote.

Assuming that if they are doing volunteer phone banking then they must stand for something right? If they stand for something, I ask why they would support a candidate that doesn’t stand for much anything. I have had many interesting conversations and surely have swayed them 10 times more than they have swayed me. I tell them I will be happy to work side by side with them when their party decides to start supporting better candidates. And by support I make sure they know “begrudgingly letting in” is not “support”. See AOC, Ilhan, et al.

And voters who are smarter than their sheeple phone bankers, short circuit their pea brains. What does Joe have to offer?  Does not compute! Does not compute! Does not compute!

She couldn’t even answer a simple, basic question…

Not a single Biden voter that I know has a clue about what he would or wouldn’t do. Nor do they care. They only care that he isn’t Trump. That’s how low the bar is.

If anyone connected with the Democratic Party tries to contact me, I will not respond.
